So far, Apple Pay looks like a clone of Google Wallet.

Same token method. Same photo input of new card. Same retailer list.

The only thing different is using TouchID instead of a PIN (if requested).

There must be more to come...

So Apple just stores your cards? So merchants get hit with a Visa fee AND an Apple fee? Seems strange. Another middle man for the transaction fees only raises prices for us.

Disney bands are way easier. I can't see myself pulling my phone out to pay instead of just using the Disney Band they give.

Time to dig out some 2 year old threads where the thrashing of NFC on Android was unbelievable. There was no end to how useless and stupid NFC was.

The best thing about Apple Pay is that it will convince more retailers to support Google Checkout since hte readers will be the same (McDonalds already supports Google Checkout).

But it isn't ordinary NFC. The biggest knock on NFC was lack of security. TouchID is one of the best fingerprint recognition systems out there.
