the iPhone 6 starts at $199/$299/$399 with two-year contract.

But what do they cost without a contract? or will they only be available with a contract?

That's something I do not understand... and hope it'll also be available without a contract... because I cannot have a contract...

I do have to hand it to Tim Cook though. He gets it. Where Steve Jobs just said no to almost everything (large phones, nfc etc) at least under Cook , Apple are at last moving with the times.

They may not be perfect but at least they (Apple) are moving forward.

What choice does T. Cook have? Steve could say no because he knew he had better ideas already in his head.

On a small sensor like that, you don't want to go overboard on Pixels, otherwise you sacrifice dynamic range and low light capability. If must have moar puhxals, buy an A7R or D810. Or go straight to a 50MP medium format.

Thanks for your lesson in physics that I am very aware of. My wife has a Samsung S5 that blows the doors off of Apple current iPhone. I do not think the 6 will be THAT much better!

Adding specs isn't "innovation". Apple users wanted all those things, but in a device that works with everything else they own. It's about the ecosystem. And that requires control over the OS. Samsung and Sony have nothing to do with the OS.
