Nice piece of tech...

now if only people still wore watches. I really hope is syncs with their next revolutionary product, the AppleFax!

Steve Jobs was overrated, but he must be turning in his grave. Apple is no longer relevant........unless you're a grandma.

Apple Watch - knew it was coming but hoped that it was a really new form factor like a band such as in the concept ideas posted here. Something that really would be a game changer.

That fugly thing makes for a 'Jumped the Shark' experience.

Ech!

And it needs and iPhone? This isn't about innovation, it's now about monetizing.

So I'm trying to understand here... if most of these features are available through your phone, and your phone is required and thus on your person, why the heck would I want to pay a bunch of money to fumble around with a tiny interface on a watch when I can just take my phone out of my pocket?

lol Samsung is in big trouble.. Everybody at the office is going nuts about this watch and the new iPhone... I can't really tell you how many people said they are switching back from android.. :)

No way. People aren't going to lug this thing and a phone around everyday. It just won't happen.

'Apple Watch shows all your photos by default… '

and sometimes other people's! Protect those iCloud accounts people!

They make a big deal of the fact that the "digital crown" doesn't require you to use your finger, obstructing the view of the screen. However, you still have to use your finger on the touchscreen to move around the app screen, select from menus, and pan the maps, right?

I don't really dislike this watch, and I kind of like the idea of having maps and messages and music on my wrist. But since the phone is required, and I already have maps and messages and music on my phone, I can't see the point.

I can imagine using many of these Apple Watch features, but driving directions? So I can stare at my wrist instead of looking where I am driving? That worries me a bit. Voice directions OK, screen directions not.

I still don't get these Smartwatches. They're trying to sell a product that their other products made obsolete in 2007.

Smartwatches are nothing but a careless lunge into a fringe market - which tells me that the Smartphone market has finally plateaued to the point where they have nothing really new to sell for it. So, now they're trying to use their same phone tech elsehwere on your body.

Google tried it with glasses. Apple and Samsung are trying with your wrists.

It's pointless.

People like an all-in-one device, which is their PHONE. The Smart Watch does not allow that level of functionality on it's own.

You'll be wrong because it beats the sh.t out of every single smart watch out there.

But the trick is that a smart watch has to be "authentically digital", as Microsoft did with their Metro design language, or "classic and timeless" like a swiss piece.

This is neither.

That makes it (assuming Apple style pricing) an expensive, cheap looking item.

Somehow, I can't see how ANY of this will appreciably improve my life. I'm not as yet seeing why I'd want to buy the watch...
