Aaaannnd they successfully killed the Mac Pro. Sure it's sleek and fast but it's no longer truly expandable. External expandability? That's a huge step backwards. It's rudimentary and messy. Come on Apple.

Yep, I don't think Apple understand what "pro users" want. They seem to want to get these people to want what they are told to want!

I'm not the type of person who'd buy a mac pro, but to me it seems like a bit of a gimmick?

It's hard to tell with how little info they gave. Really, it comes down to benchmark scores and expandability and upgradeability.

It's ASSEMBLED in the USA. That means of the 100% of production time, now maybe 10% is done in the USA. The rest is still manufactured elsewhere. Regardless, this is a good thing development.
