I think it's less about the graphics and more about the fact that it has a fully destructible environment where you can craft things. That uses a lot more system resources, especially if the terrain is procedurally generated.

This is exactly what it is. It's named after a piece of Yosemite. Good choice by Apple.

I get the logic behind it, but still not crazy about the name. Hopefully the performance improvements will make up for it
