Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off today at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco, with the event headlined by the traditional keynote address beginning at 10:00 AM Pacific Time / 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

In line with tradition, Apple is expected to provide the first looks at iOS 9 and OS X 10.11, with the company also announcing a fresh push into streaming music led by a new Apple Music subscription service and a revamped iTunes Radio. Apple is also expected to debut new tools allowing developers to build native Apple Watch apps and perhaps make some additional announcements related to Apple Pay and HomeKit.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website and via Apple TV.

In addition to Apple's video stream, we will be updating this article with live blog coverage and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds. Separate news stories regarding the event announcements will go out through our @MacRumors account.

I'm so pumped! Passed my driving test first time, literally about an hour ago AND there's an Apple Event tonight! This day is GREAT! :D

It begins. All the speculations and rumors will be finally put to rest. That is, until 6 months later.

Considering the next event will very likely be the annual iPhone event in early September, we'll only be waiting for about 3 months for another event. Plus then there's usually an October Mac/iPad event.

I lost all interest when the Apple TV was taken off the agenda... hopefully that rumor was wrong and they end up showing the new hardware and app store today. To NOT introduce the new app store at wwdc just seems to be incredibly wrong to me...

Funny how Apple TV and the streaming video service is not even mentioned, whatever sources claimed it won't appear must be considered pretty reliable I guess to not even entertain the idea anymore

Well, the store isn't down yet so I guess no new hardware will be launched today....

Yah. I thought it was odd that the store is still up this late on. But surely they'd take it down anyway to update all the pages which reference OS X, iOS and watchOS? Maybe it'll go down in the next 15 minutes.

I wonder how long I'll have to wait for the part about OS X 10.11...
