Must be an introduction to new Macbook Pro with release sometime later. Boooooooo. But then again, it might be an Ive narrated movie of its introduction so that's good at least.

You didn't know you wanted Dark Mode til MR told you. You may even be excited about more stuff that you still don't know was going to be announced today but in hindsight couldn't do without beforehand yet apparently now is a 'gamechanger' for you. Isn't mass hysteria great, readers? Find out what else to independently 'think different' about .... very soon ..... Let's do it!

Nah, I've had dark mode since Eclipse was released (iOS 8/9 tweak). It's far from perfect, however. Apple need to implement this natively and make it required in every app that requires reading more than a few lines of text.

The best keynote was 2014 when it was just Tim and Craig on stage. Unfortunately Apple thinks they need to have all these people on stage now. I just hope no Eddy Cue. He was an embarrassment last year.

Are they supposed to be saying anything about fixing the awful UI for Apple music on mobile?

Just say it Tim. "I'd like to invite Phil Schiller up to the stage to tell you all about it, Phil"

Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off today in San Francisco with the traditional keynote being held for the first time at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, the same location Apple used for its "Hey Siri" media event last September.

The keynote begins at 10:00 AM Pacific Time / 1:00 PM Eastern Time, and we're expecting to see a number of announcements focused primarily on software updates including iOS 10 and OS X 10.12, as well as new versions of watchOS and tvOS. We may also see some updates to Apple's services such as Apple Pay, iCloud, and perhaps iMessage, but major hardware announcements are not expected.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website and via Apple TV.

In addition to Apple's video stream, we will be updating this article with live blog coverage and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds. Highlights from the event and separate news stories regarding today's announcements will go out through our @MacRumors account.

To go to this event does it really cost you $1,500 with a small chance to actually get to go? I'd love to go,maybe when I start & finish my computer Science course I'd go.

With so little leaks this year I'm kinda excited to have a chance at something I wasn't expecting at all.

Just on way back home from work on train, train late, need to stop for a few beers, luckily 350bhp should help me get back from the station in time, traffic permitting o_O

Just a few more stops.....

haha this would be great:

MacOS11
iOSX

At the moment I want to get my hopes up for something more revolutionary but what can you really put in an OS in 2016 to make it revolutionary? Dark mode/night shift are cool but I doubt a shift from windows-based navigation (for the most part).

Agreed. I'm getting pretty stoked.

How are many being affected?
Most of us run iOS devices capable of installing iOS 10, OS X 11.12. This is a meaningful event even if you don't plan on buying the next device
