I was hoping to hear that they were dumping AMD graphics and returning to using Nvidia :(

AMD gives them more freedom to do what they want and also more profit margin. I would love to have Pascal GPUs in the MBPs but they're too power hungry especially given the hardware design.

VR is boring. Wake me up when VR is like the hollodeck or like the more recent episode of Doctor Who with real VR.

Good to see Apple keep their commitment to Mac. Definitely didn't see an iMac refresh coming, and high performance graphics is definitely reassuring.

So you're going to need the highest-end iMac for a decent VR experience? 5.5Tflops isn't too great given that the Xbox Scorpio—a console—is going to have at least 6. Given the lack of games on the Mac, I doubt this will appeal to many people. I'd love for gaming on the Mac to become more of a thing, but they're going to need some better hardware. May I suggest Nvidia?

I did some digging, why is that 580 only at 5.5 TFLOPs? Even a stock RX480 does 5.8.

Must be Apple's desire to build a thin desktop sacrificing thermals again.

Noticed those 4 USB-A? Seems like they kept all the useful ports.
I'm looking online so I didn't. Interesting. Did they drop TB2 and Ethernet? USB-C ports are pretty useful to me, though.

Wow the iMacs were somewhat unexpected for a WWDC update, and the fact they've kept USB-A ports (for now) once again shows that they're listening to customers. And interest in eGPU/VR. I'm so glad theres a dGPU on the 4K iMac. Although I would have personally liked to see 3/4TB3 ports with 2 USB A ports.

Apple still drinking the AMD coolaid. What a bunch of crap. No Nvidia.
Yup 580 is a rebadged 480. Vega would've been nice, but AMD is really dropping the ball on their GPU's since all their eggs are in CPU basket right now.
