Honestly - came here and found this specific thread just to say this.
Not to overexaggerate - but isn't it a little frightening, to think that the wealthiest company in the history of the world took a simple design such as the CC and managed to somehow make it worse? It looks awful. Really awful. Worse than Apple Music awful.
They need new designers. Yesterday.

This notification blocking seems like a pre-emptive strike for legislation that will require it at some point. Frankly I would be in favor of them blocking it if they can determine if you're the driver or not (that's the hard part).
For 1TB Flash standard, 8-core Xeon, and 32GB of RAM with a 5K display? Find me cheaper windows workstation please.
I mean, I'd much prefer a standard desktop, but iMac's price seems pretty fair to me.
I didn't take off work for this lol. There is no way I would do that anymore. Did it once before when Jobs was alive, but not now. Just happened to be off. I like the new driving mode in IOS though.
You don't need to turn this feature on. And you can change the message if you want.

If you answer the call, they'll know your driving due to the background noise. I hope you don't try and respond to that iMessage while trying to drive...
You could turn off DND While driving, and just ignore your phone until you stop driving.
Gotcha.. yes the driving mode is very useful. I'll be using that for sure.
