What exactly is the point of this AR stuff? So I can play a game on my table? Isn't that called a "board game?"

We use it at my job to show customers what the machines will look like in their space etc. Amazing potential

Why would they announce dark mode now? Save it for September, when they announce oled....and it gives them another talking point in September.

The only useful scenario where to use ar os the ikea app to see how the furniture looks in your home.

But watching a movie and having to act like a camera guy is annoying.

SCOTT FORSTALL come back PLEASE!

Man apple really bastardized iOS! Ive did great with the entire GUI redo but man this Control Centre needs serious rethinking.

Apple is showing JUST how lazy their becoming lately.
PS: Spaceship move in has SERIOUSLY affected all their work!

Firing Forstall was a really terrible decision. This guy knew what he was doing. The Apple Maps thing was just an excuse to get rid of him. The product has even turned out to be good after all. I avoid google products as much as I can.

What happened apple..AR is not that useful for most of us right now..why take us through this mess
Because it's not for you, it's for developers

Then apple should've shown this off at the Developer Booths NOT the stage! Showing WWDC viewers is also to show us what will be ready. Developer Kit for the eGPU is NOT strictly for developers so why this?!

Guys... This $5k iMac is made for professionals who drop $6,000 on a cinema camera or $3500 on a lens. The iMac Pro is clearly replacing the Mac Pro which makes perfect sense. They weren't selling many of those, so to use the same form factor as the iMac is perfect. No reason to re-design the lineup. If a Mac Pro wasn't on your wish list yesterday, the iMac Pro was never for you anyway.

I guess they kept the pricing steady on the MacBook. I'm surprised they kept the Air. Did it just get a Haswell CPU update?

Nah, just a speed-bump. It's a mature product, but still very popular. Apple won't be doing any changes that require a significant motherboard redesign. I'm pleased Apple is giving it any attention at all. It's a useful product for certain members of my family, and I intend to buy another one.
