I'll be fragging everybody once I buy the $6.99 App + the $0.99 for a rocket launcher in-game. Thank god Valve isn't on the iPhone bandwagon, I'd be paying through the nose for TF2 update packs.

I'm getting a little ticked now with all this sales crap. It's been an hour of pushing trivial purchases on us. I want to see what Apple is going to offer us now in the firmware. I'm pleased that PUSH is coming, but it's a year late and they act like it's no biggie. I guess it isn't .

I love how we see people already disappointed with the "lack of" from an event that's not concluded yet!

These are the same people who will post negative threads even if Apple rolled out a tablet, OS 11 , & the iCar to solve the automobile crisis.

As opposed to the people who will like anything Apple releases? You have to admit the event is a *little* boring... It's just a result from the extreme hype Apple events come with, you can't help but be a little disappointed there's no hint of most of the rumored features.

Wake me when it's over.
This just confirms what I have been saying for a couple of years.
Apple has become a supplier of toys for kids and people without serious computing needs.
Even my dog thinks this is lame

Get on with it

These are cool features but can they please get on with showing us new stuff because the demos are getting really boring.

LOL! Ars tech just threw a Pop Up window with a "How Many more commercials would you like to see?" Poll :D

sad thing is.. there will be people with REAL dogs who nneed some REAL exercise and they will be sitting on the couch playing their VIRTUAL TOUCH PETS.. Then their dog will be an ass because it gets no exercise and they will toss it in the pound because it doesnt behave like their touch pet

lmao exactly

Seriously.

Has there been any mention of a timeline/date for developers to get their hands on a 3.0 sdk as well as when the actual firmware is shipped to the masses?

10:16AM - “This is especially great for games!” Showing a game of backgammon — shows popover panel detecting all other iPhones and iPods touch in the area. What it provides: automatic discovery (devices and apps), wirelessly over Bluetooth (no WiFi support), no pairing necessary, Bonjour is the backend connectivity, and it’s not just for games.

yeah dude. in first person shooter games... the multiplayer will solely rely on how much money you put into your 'weapon set' - instead of skill.

if there are 3,000 popups to spend money inside an app. i will definitely delete it

Yea but I will kick your ass with my $999 jewel encrusted "I am rich" rocket launcher!!!

"Now as I said before, 3.0 brings a lot of new features for devs, but for customers as well... starting... with cut, copy, and paste."

YES
