So the iPod Nano has a video camera.. FM Tuner.. but the touch doesn't get either?

Does anyone else think that they were going to have those features on the Touch but something went horribly wrong and they are postponing an actual update?

Well the Nano has been their most popular product in the line-up so why not try and keep it relevant in the marketplace with new features against the competition?

The iPod Touch is still a class of it's own against competing devices, so the need to slam it full of features is not as critical at this junction. Plus Apple needs a reason to convince people to buy the iPhone.

My understanding, is that the thicker model Classics were not selling.

Seeing Apple introduce a larger capacity thin version instead of a bigger capacity Classic seems to support this.

What do you mean? If you're waiting to buy one, you're not a touch user yet? Give it a month or two and the touch will be on parity with the nano.

Apple needed to do something to bump up the nano.

They could have added the same features (FM, camera, etc.) to the Touch, but then there wouldn't be a compelling reason for people to buy the nano.
