Home for the Mac is something that seemed obvious. Took them long enough.

It's actually so annoying. They should be glad that some features are even being developed at all. But all they can do is complain :p

yes exactly ! honnestly, it's one of the best keynote/wwdc I've seen in a long time. Just using google maps in carplay made my day.

IOS 12 looks more than awesome. Shortcut.app looks amazing.

I just don't understand the reactions here.

To me, stacks on the desktop looks very similar to folders on the iPad.

I could be wrong, but for years now I've suspected that Apple is slowly working toward one unified "AppleOS"

I understand your concern, but using this particular release as a stick to beat Apple with is a bit odd. Lion? Sure, Launchpad, gestures and the App Store were very iOS-like. Mountain Lion? That brought Notification Centre. High Sierra brought Siri and Messages.

But this seems more pushed towards "Pros" (however they define that term) - being able to edit videos in Quick Look and viewing EXIF data in a sidebar and a long-requested Dark Mode seem to be bringing it further from iOS if anything. Sure they brought over News and Home, but they don't really change the fundamentals of the OS.

I don't see Stacks on the Desktop as much different from Stacks in the Dock, and doesn't really have an iOS equivalent.
