I think he clearly stated at the beginning that there would be no more talk about Macs.
Just a typo from Macrumors writer on the line where it says he would review only Macs.
I think we are talking 599 in apple stores only, unlocked. (aka no contract)

you may think it a technical evolution, but it may well be revolutionary in social terms, just as the ipod/itunes was. plus, the interface is revolutionary.
