In the Keynote it was mentioned that you can use a live photo on the Watch face and have it come to "life" when you raise the watch. Will this also be the case with the phone on the lockscreen, or even as a home screen wallpaper? I probably missed the info somewhere so just point me in the right direction if you know.

If the don't have that feature set up already, they should really get to work on it. Having the screen turn on (with displays of the time and widget info in addition to a live photo background) when you pick it up to look at would be really neat!
 
I thought it would be cool to have the animation play when using Touch ID to unlock the phone. 3D Touch to make it Happen seems pointless.

But that won't work because TouchID will unlock the iPhone, not play the animation. Most of the time you'll want to have it unlock immediately so you can respond to notifications, etc., not show off the live photo of, say, your kids to other people.
