Where would liverpool be without Gerrard? He seems like a 1-man team at times!

I'm sure that Liverpool wouldn't have even come close to finishing 3rd in the league without their talismanic captain.

Congrats to Liverpool

Done it again.
Came back from behind, and won on penalties.

Very very good game.
Feel sorry for West Ham, though. Nobody deserved to loose.

I'm sure I shouldn't post this in this thread but...

Noooooooooooooooo!!!! :(

(I'm afraid I was an honorary West Ham supporter for the day)

GET INNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
Yet another piece of silverware for the Trophy Room... FA Cup number 7 :D
And God Bless Sir Stevie G

I need a lie down......;)

That was a great game. Those last three goals were fantastic. I was rooting for West Ham, but well deserved Liverpool. Reina is just too good at saving penalties.

Not a bad assessment. I think quality showed in the goals scored - the quality of LFC goals were sublime (crouches was not actually offside either) and west ham had 1 own goal 1 keeper screw up and 1 misshit cross.. not saying they didnt play well etc

Nice to polish of such a long season (how many more games than west ham did we play - 30 maybe?) with a victory

what a game.

yeah Stevie Gerrard wins us games, but the team does not revolve around him. he's ***** against Chelsea, every time, for example.

well, i'm piss drunk, don't remember half the game really, what a trip. i need to get health insurance after that.

hats off to the lads, and well done West Ham, what a great game, credit where it's due.

now i just gotta remember who's "lucky" fez i was wearing and mail it back to them! gotta process them photos and get them on the lfcny.org site now.....

We need pictures.

great pics, thanks!

wow my head hurts...

You are dead right in your assessment of stevie G and him not making our team.

Did people not watch the frikken everton derby!

We have some world class players in our team, and that has shown time and time again in the league this year.

Stevie Gerrard stood up and was counted yesterday. Just like garcia was in the last four games of the European Cup winning side, just like owen did in the FA Cup winning side of 2001 and reina did in the pen shootout.

the way i see it is - We gifted them two goals (one from Carra, a truely world class CB and one from reina - who has just won the golden gloves) and they scored a misshit cross - on another day none of those would have gone in, but im glad they did, because it showed liverpool have real class and great mental strength.

Well, I thought it was a good game from a neutral point of view – some of the recent FA Cup finals have been a little disappointing entertainment wise. Granted, Liverpool's goals may have been better quality but on the other hand it was their defensive errors that led to West Ham's first two.

It was one of those games though where you really had to feel for whichever team came out as the losers – it was clear that both sets of players had given it their all, and there were a lot of people suffering from cramp and knocks out there. Actually, Rick Parry suggested after the game that the authorities might look at allowing a fourth substitution after a match goes beyond the regulation 90 minutes...

ok guys, just wanted to let you know there's a new Liverpool Podcast!

it's by the NY Supporters club (see link in my sig) of which i am the webmaster, and i think i got landed with that purely 'cause of the fact that i have a mac, and therefore i know about computers, and therefore websites!

anyway, it's the only Liverpool FC podcast that we know of and it will be a regular production...

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=156770672

it's not about the NY supprters club, rather about the team, so check it out! :)

any feedback would of course be great

enjoy

Morientes walks then, undisclosed fee... i.e. less than half the £7mill they paid less than 18 months ago.

He's been a real disappointment I think, never really made a mark, but often showed flashes of his true talent.

Shame.

Now, who's coming in as a replacement?:D

Personally, I think Kuyt will be Morientes' replacement.

However, Coming in to replace Cissé is Graig Bellamy - Who is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the premiership in terms of talent but comes with some baggage. He is a boyhood red and supports the club so I can't see anything other than success - we also got the £15m rated striker for just £6m because of a clause in his contract.

He will terrorise Europe's and the premierships top defenses next season. Can't wait to see him unvailed today.

I'm worried... I've never liked Bellamy. His attitude is NOT a Liverpool attitude, and his discipline record is frackin' awful.

Still, hopefully Rafa can tame him! There's no disputing that he's a good player - I just don't want him to be rocking the Good Ship LFC....

He has been fine at both Celtic and Blackburn. He'll be fine here too

As for his attitude. Ever heard of Fowler, Macmanaman, Collymore, Souness etc etc etc :D

You can't count Robbie and Stevie Mac in the same bracket as Bellamy! (Many because I've had a drink with the above 3 and a certain Mr McAteer back in '96 - one of my claims to fame:D). Calamity always looked a sedate chap to me. Particularly when dealing with crosses......:p

I always put Bellamy in a similar bracket to Bowyer et al - I think though that may well have to do with the whole Newcastle buying the Bad Boys thing.

No dispute on Souness though;)
