Why are you using the beta?

also i got libweather installed and BiteSMS couldn't run any better

It's working fine for me now. At the time I posted it was still in beta but it's been working perfectly for me since it got out of beta.

How do I prevent notifications from showing up in front of Lockinfo? I'll get a text message and all of a sudden I can't read any of the Lockinfo stuff.

EDIT: nm, I think I found the setting. I must have just been skipping over it.

Yeah lockinfo is good...I hide the slider and then make it double click home button to unlock. SOO much better

How do you get the calendar to show the whole month with lockinfo, and not just the events for the month? I have lock weather loaded at the moment, and i cant seem to figure it out.

Lockinfo vs. intelliscreen, today?

Since we now have the 4.1 JB, which is better: Lockinfo vs. intelliscreen?

Still love LockInfo. Since the original post, LockInfo now has statusbar and retina icons. I've also learned how to use infoshade (drop down menu of all missed calls/messages from the homescreen/applications. Kind of android'ish). Very useful. And still half the price of intelliscreen.

Where can i find infoshade?

It's in the LockInfo Settings. You have to click on each individual plugin (Calender, Mail, Phone) and select Visibility, then select InfoShade "on". From there, you assign an Activator gesture (I'm using swipe down on status bar) and InfoShade will drop down on the homescreen. When turning off and on the toggles for infoshade, you'll have to respring for them to show up.

+1 for InfoShade, a Must have for me

Thank you. I was thinking it was an additional plug in and couldn't find it in Cydia. I hate it when things are right in front of your face and you can't see them.

I love lockinfo, but I must admit I prefer NotifiedPro over Infoshade. Consider that NotifiedPro shows you a log of ALL notifications, not just missed ones. Additionally, and most importantly, 1 touch to any notification will open the app that it originated from. This is great because I get push notifications from a couple games, and they get stored in notifiedpro. At my convenience I can tap and open that game to accept the challenge or whatever. It's also great for Free App of the Day.app. Instead of an annoying pop up that I quickly close and forget about, today's free apps show up in notifiedpro for me to check out later.

Infoshade is cool, especially because it comes with LockInfo, but NotifiedPro definitely has it beat as far as a springboard "notification drawer" goes.

Not sure if you "actually" used InfoShade but mine does everything you described. It show me "All" my notifications (Facebook, games, SMS, email, etc) and if i tap them it will open the Right app. I don't get popup but a nice little icon on the status bar, and I also got my RSS feed, Todo List on InfoSage only (which i don't think it is available on NF pro)

Well the main function of LockInfo is notifications on your lockscreen. Infoshade is just an added bonus to me. NotifiedPro might be better for the homescreen but I like how LockInfo incorporates everything together in one package. I don't need to see ALL my messages, just my missed ones. One tap and I'm inside that app responding as well. So between LockInfo and Intelliscreen. LockInfo wins easily.

Since the OP (and many bug fixes ago) , how do both apps shape out now?

Do they interfere with iOS4 on the lockscreen?

Adding a third to this thread, the Notification Center. A friend said IntelliscreenX is better than LI in his opinion. Can anyone mention some of the latest updates that shape both IntelliscreenX and LI?

This argument is a long one and possible with no ending, Coke Vs Pepsi, Mac or PC, iOS vs Android...etc.etc...

Both app got a free trial, the best thing to do is to download it, test it, get the other one test it and build your own opinion.

Now, for my "personal" opinion...I like LI, seen to use less resources, does everything I want it to do and it is pretty simple to configure.

unless something has changed, lock info is essentially the same as it has been, except it can be put into the notification center if you choose.

IntelliscreenX, however, is entirely new and different than intelliscreen. It Adds a clock and the "intelliscreen ticker" to notification center, as well as a "top shelf" which comes default with a set of toggles for bluetooth, wifi, etc. It also includes mail, Facebook, twitter, and RSS feeds

The "ticker" is essentially a quick glance at whats new in your feeds. It scrolls across with new Facebook and twitter posts and RSS headlines, right next to the clock.

The top shelf is accessed by pulling down when in notification center to expose it. This can have any notification center widget you've downloaded in it...for example, aside from the default toggle switches, I have a favorites widget in my top shelf

Facebook, mail, rss, and twitter are accessed by swiping left or right in notification center. It essentially puts these apps in their entirety in notification center, but is formatted in a way that looks like it fits

There is also Messages+, which is included with intelliscreenX. This allows quick compose and quick reply to SMS/iMessage from the notification center.

All of this can also be enabled on the lock screen if you choose

Ask your friend why. See if your friend's reasons matter to you or not. Don't just blindly accept statements that "X is better than Y' from people without understanding why.

In other words -- it subjective. You need to figure out which one is best for you. That's why the "why" is important when discussing options with different people. Not everyone has the same set of needs/wants.

I'm a long time lockinfo user and just installed it again on my 4s.

It is still as good as ever. Couple bugs here and there but nothing terrible.

What I like so much about lockinfo is that it is very customisable. If you know how to edit .plist files and can create images you can pretty much get it to look how you want. There are some hard coded limits but nothing that has ever seriously annoyed me.

My current lock screen, basically just stock:

Might go back to something like my old theme soon.

I did, and he didn't give very good answers. Thanks for the tip, though.

And I guess I shouldn't waste time reading reviews of products before buying with your logic. The reviewer may not have the same needs as me, so it's not worth it. Or in this case, I should just download the app and change my current settings with LI so they don't interfere, see if I like it, then decide then.

OR

Read other peoples' opinions (much like the entire thread was started for) and see if there are any key reasons why I may or may not like it. I'm in no hurry to decide. If I was, I wouldn't be here asking this question.

I personally use Intelliscreen. Seems as if thye update more frequent, and I've only been jailbroken a couple days, and they put out an update first for 5.0.1. People complain about the $9.99 pricetag, but I suffered one less drink at a bar and bought it. And I like the fact I can pull down even more for MORE stuff. Looks cluttered, but it's all organized the way I need it to be. Here:

I wanted LockinFo for that favorites tab.. found it elsewhere, Intelliscreen did it for me with that.

Plus, on Lockinfo, I couldnt get it to just do 1, 5, or 10 notifications [messages], it literally listed EVERY unread message [95]... Not cool.

With front end loaded app's like these it's definitely user's personal preference. I owned the old IS and LI. I had preferred IS then and I prefer ISX now. I only had to pay $7.99 for the upgrade from old IS to new ISX.
