Locking iPhone X takes longer than on the 7

I’ve had a look online but can’t seem to find anyone else talking about it but my X takes about a second longer to lock than my 7 did, I’ve tried them side by side and you can see the difference.

I know it’s not really a big deal but for a phone this price you’d expect everything to be quicker than last years model

Is one second really something that's worth complaining about or even notable in real world experience? Seems like a non-issue to me.

It’s because after you press the Side Button it’s waiting to see if you’re going to press it again to invoke Apple Pay. After one second, if you haven’t pressed again, it locks.

To speed up the locking process, turn off the double-click side button feature in your Wallet settings.

I was actually just seeing if anyone else has noticed it, I did say I know it’s not a big deal but surely you wouldn’t expect it to be slower than a phone that’s a year old?
