Logic X on 12" rMB?

Hi there,

I'm a working musician and am frequently traveling and so portability is a big deal to me...however...so is power because I need to use heavy music apps like Logic, Reason, Ableton, etc. Also, I'm currently running a 2009 MBP and REALLY would like to move to a retina screen. Do you guys think the new 12" rMB will run those apps well? Or will I need to the power of the 13" rMBP?

If you require anything more than moderate power then get a rMBP. The Core-M CPU's are weedy.

I think this was Apple's current answer to Microsoft's Surface

The Surface destroys the MacBook in every conceivable way. The MacBook is aimed at those who want something highly portable and not much else. However, I was expecting 16-24 hour battery life with the way Apple were carrying on about the frugality of the machine, 9 hours is a massive disappointment.
