There is just too much fragmentation on the content side for anything to work well. How many other networks are going to go the TNT route and only allow access to online content if you have a subscription with one of their blessed cable/satellite providers? The GoogleTV thing looked real good on paper but the content providers are what killed it. I am hoping the content side can come up with a modern business model that works in todays market. Why I am allowed to watch something on my TV but not my computer and vice versa just baffles me.

If I could just pay ABC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, etc. for their sports I would have gotten rid of my cable subscription a long time ago.

The internet satisfies everything else for me - and way better than cable TV. Except for sports. Live sporting events in particular.

I had the same thought exactly. I was ready to ditch Satellite but was worried about NFL. Where I live, an HD antennae solved this. Maybe this would work in your area as well.

Isn't that only because Logitech is dumping the product and is eating the loss just to get rid of the stock? Using the same logic, the HP TouchPad is $99, not $500. This obviously isn't the right way to gauge the feasibility of a product since the product was clearly designed to be sold at a much higher retail price, not the firesale price.
Apples to Oranges. The Revue's price was dropped during the summer and now is in line where it should have been priced all along...especially to compete with the likes of Apple TV, the Roku devices and Boxee Box.

The biggest mistake was the price. I bought a GTV for $99 and it is nice. With google music being free, I uploaded my songs from my laptop and can play them via GTV. While I may not use it much, its nice to have a free backup of my music
