No issues here, have 3 on 1080p 5.6.54. Actually quite the opposite, no cameras are going offline now, had it happen a few times on the old firmware. I upgraded to high power wifi 6 router a little while ago (I know these aren’t wifi 6 compatible camera). Either way just wanted to chime in and say all good here. I’m also not on HSV or ever was, just on the free Logi cloud.

This is exactly what I am seeing except I can’t even get one of my cameras back into the logi app. I have been working with there support and they haven’t been able to give me a solution.
5.6.54 was a huge mistake for me. Multiple cameras constantly going offline in the Logi app but remain available for live stream in the HomeKit app. The only way to correct this is to reset the camera which is a waste of time since it will go back offline a day later. Most of the time, the camera connects to WiFi but then will not connect to the Logi cloud forcing the camera to abort the setup. Logi claims that firmware version 5.6.54 is the same as 5.6.49 but used to revert cameras from HSV back to the Logi app. Converting to HSV removes the camera from the Logi cloud which leads me to believe this is an unstable firmware that screws with the cloud connection. For the record, I never converted any of my cameras to HSV. I was just tired of seeing the red exclamation point in the Logi app nagging me to update the firmware. This is is not a WiFi Network issue since they’re working fine in HomeKit and show up as online in my Eero app. This has been happening since updating to 5.6.54.

Edit * had my cameras running on 720p for a while. Just tried changing a few of them to 1080p and those cameras instantly lost connection in the Logi app but still work in HomeKit. Same when switching another camera to 360p. This needs to be fixed. Thank goodness I’m not paying for the Logi cloud storage or I’d be livid.

I would love to downgrade the firmware back to 5.6.49. That was the most stable one for me.

If HSV allowed more than 5 stinking cameras, I would’ve just moved everything there but since all my cameras are Logitechs, I didn’t want to use two separate apps to view recordings.

Wonder if this magically corrects itself when you start paying them monthly. Almost tempted to try it.

Out of curiosity, that camera you have that won’t connect, is the LED blinking white?

I guess there’s hope. This is definitely not a WiFi issue though. Working perfectly fine in HomeKit on WiFi or remotely on LTE. I was one of the biggest advocates for these cameras until they unleashed this firmware.

I pay and still have the issue. Both are on the new firmware and one still works. I never migrated to HSV.

Yes. But one camera still works and connects to Logi
Interesting. I was just answering to a customer support email from Logitech and one of the questions is “Were there any changes to your network settings?” The conversion to HomeKit Routers immediately popped in my head and that came down around the same time as the Logitech firmware update. Cant remember which I did first. I think it was the Eero.

I have a few cameras that connect to the Logi app but I’m still wondering if therein lies the issue. My cameras are set to “Automatic” in HomeKit routers.

I set them to no restrictions and got the same error connecting to cloud.

Gotchya but I’m still wondering if it has something to do with that. I have three Philips Hue bridges and even after resetting them the right most blue led indicator light eventually blinks on all three which would indicate an internet issue but all my bulbs are working fine in HomeKit and the Hue app. Never saw these led indicators blinking before. I will get to the bottom of this lol

I just about had enough of these camera today and as a last resort, I reset my eero network and then all 13 of my cameras were able to quickly connect to the WiFi and the Cloud after resetting each camera to factory. This has to be something going on with the eero, maybe more in particular the HomeKit Enabled Router side. Pretty sure eero recommended resetting all the HomeKit accessories after enabling HomeKit Router so if you haven’t already, try giving that a shot. Hope these cameras stay connected and it works for you as well.

First, this thread has been very cathartic to review. I'm in the same boat: limitless frustration with 5.4.54 and an inability to get it working with Homekit (ideally then switched over to HSV)...

Relevant Network:
  • CenturyLink whatever modem (not in Bridge mode yet - new apartment and Cust Service sucks)
  • Unifi Dream Machine
  • 2x Unifi Flex APs
  • Hubs: 1x ATV 4K (ethernet) and 4x Homepods
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max running 13.5
I already have one existing Wired Circle 2 on 5.4.54 and I upgraded it to HSV which is working just FINE. So at least we know it isn't the network.

Here's where my blood starts to boil... I received a second (replacement) WIRELESS Circle 2 and was told by Cust Serv that I could mount it up to the wired mount and be good to go as a wired replacement for the fabled "yellow ring of death"! Well, I did that, upgraded to 5.4.54 on initial load into the Circle App (no choice), and was able to get it working perfectly through the app (no Homekit). Then I discovered that all attempts to add it to Homekit and begin to convert it over to HSV fail. Direct-add to Home app also fails to leave me with a blinking LIGHT blue (understood as establishing Wifi connection error after sharing my credentials).

I've tried everything (with a checklist) Restart camera (and phone and router and ATV etc), removed home hub and re-added, restarting routers and APs and NOTHING is helping. I can't for the life of me figure out how this all goes so wrong for Logitech's customers.

Just when things are working great with the Logitech’s, they crush my hopes and dreams with a firmware update lol.
Out of curiosity, what color blinking blue is it that you’re seeing? A royal saturated blue or a light sky blue? Royal blue is the setup color and sky blue is an internet issue. I had the sky blue on two of my cameras and they just wouldn’t connect to either my WiFi or the Logi cloud. Try setting up the camera close to the router and then moving it back to its final destination. I tried that on both cams and it worked. My issues were with getting the cams to connect to the Logi app. They connectEd perfectly Fine to HomeKit direct and to the WiFi from Logi app but it failed a lot at the cloud connection. The last firmware (.49 I believe) was absolutely rock solid in Logi and HomeKit. With .54, everyday I wake up and wonder which cam(s) I have to reset today.
The wired and wireless cameras are one and the same. The wireless should also have a HomeKit code inside the black ring. It’s the mount that you screw it into that changes everything.

Respond from my phone because I’m in a jungle of Ethernet cables, power strips and my wife’s loathing contempt so I hope I answer correctly.

1. Sky blue (not the ready to configure deep, Duke blue - yeah, I’m a Blue Devil and my wife is a UNC Tarheel so I am steeped in the different shades of blue).
2. UniFi controller says my camera is 100% with low -dB loss so it wouldn’t seem to be an AP problem (also I’m in a 1,400sqft apt with hollow walls; terrible 2.4GHz noise though). Either way, consider this box checked since I was <5ft away from AP.
3. Logi app is good to go. Camera registered and HomeKit is set to on but the Home app is causing problems.

Lastly, Homepods are suddenly in “Configuring” state indicating a cascade failure in the HomeKit configuration between Hubs. I know that because for a brief period during my MBA summer internship at Apple I ran the HomeKit program at Apple Corp and wrote the v1.0 HomeKit licensee guide. HomeKit may be secure to the outside but it’s a complete and utter mess when it comes to internal workings and partnerships with manufacturers.

That’s interesting. My issues were always the other way around with the Logi app. .54 is crap. I’m pretty sure this was the firmware version they used to convert those wanting to go from beta HSV back to Logi’s cloud from what customer service explained to me. It might be the firmware screwing with you. After reading your list of troubleshootings, I’m at a loss. Only thing I can think of is to keep trying. I’ve had a few HomeKit devices that were absolutely resistant to connecting to HomeKit. The biggest offender was the Yale smart lock with August connect. Think it took two days to finally connect. I almost had that sucker repacked for return. Wemo mini were another device (pre-native HomeKit release. The ones with HK code decal are good to go!).

Sidebar... considering your experience with HomeKit internally, would you know why the cap on HSV cams is five? There was a discussion about that in another thread.
