Honesty if i was considering a pencil for a 10th gen iPad I would for sure skip Apple pencil and buy one from Logitech just to don't have to deal with an obsolete and overpriced pencil with lighting combined with a quite unconvenient dongle just to charge a pencil.
I really don't get why Apple could not make iPad 10 compatible with Pencil 2 given that it has built-in USB-C port...

If you're going to get the new iPad and want basic stylus functionality, this seems like a far better deal (or at least less insulting) than spending $100 for the 1st generation pencil with that ridiculous adapter.

Has there ever been such a high profile company as logitech/logi and also microsoft that make such ugly products. They spend billions and never learn.

You can buy one at the drugstore for a few dollars...

Ultimately, those cost a lot more.

Logitech logic’s where Apple doesn’t

Steve would be proud of this enhanced dongle free solution to the 10th gen iUmbilicalgate

I have the previous version and can recommend it as long as you don't need the pressure sensitivity (I don't, I use it for notes and technical sketching, and kids use it to draw). I compared it with a 1st gen Pencil, and sensitivity seems exactly same.

Advantages:
- works with every iPad (while Pencil does not) = futureproof (I got it for 5th gen Mini, so it's nice to know it will work with its replacement)
- aluminium body - childproof, I am not afraid of it breaking inside the bag or by children stepping on it, or just tossing it on the shelf
- connector won't accidentally break during charging
- cheaper

What's not to like?

Don't laugh at the Logitech Crayon. It is a great product for what it does. It is universally compatible with any iPad that uses either generation of Pencil, and it is considerably less expensive than an Apple Pencil. It is limited in that it does not detect differences in pressure when using, so I would think it is not very useful for artists. But I am an Engineer, not an artist. I take notes with it, and mark up and annotate PDF plans within Notability with it. I have virtually worn one out after 3.5 years, and I will buy another soon. I have used it with with my iPad Mini 5 since early 2019, and will buy another one to use with an iPad Air that I plan to purchase soon.

Quite the contrary, I’m wondering how Logitech seems to have made a better all around stylus than Apple. How come Logitech can do this but Apple is still mucking about with the 1st gen Pencil?

But for Apple to make a new Apple Pencil that just works for the iPad 10, that's asking too much from the trillion dollar company.

Tim Cook needs to go. Yesterday.

I’ve never been one to call for Tim Cook’s head, but it’s becoming pretty clear that Steve’s concern about him was right. He straight up said, Tim’s great at operations but he’s not a product guy.

As CEO his one job was keeping the stock price up but he seems to not be doing that as well lately either. He certainly seems to be managing to cut costs on the operational side, though.

Ordered, thanks to all that reviewed.
Can I ask where you ordered from? I'm not seeing the new usb-c version avail in Apple Store, Logi site, Best Buy, etc. Only seeing the Lightning version still (according to the text descriptions and specs anyway).
