Hi everyone!
I was wondering if any of you is currently using an MX Master 3 for Mac with an M1 equipped MacBook and if they're having lag and stuttering issues with it. if so, did you manage to resolve it or not?

I tried contacting Logitech support about it but all they did was ask if the mouse was fully charged if I tried it on all 3 channels and if the issue persisted even when plugged in. In my case, the answer is "yes" to all.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys,
Stay safe!

Hi!

I have the Logitech mx master (1?).

and it’s working like a dream. The first couple of days, all the settings got lost once in a while.
But now it’s working for a month straight, withouth that issue.

maybe on Big Sur 11.3, or whatever the latest update was, it’s back again. Updated my Mac yesterday, but I only watched a movie on it since then.

let me know how it works :)

let me know how it works :)
After a couple of days filled with inputting text, and using the mouse a lot, it is safe to say that it works good.

like I said I have the first version I think (promotion on Amazon, so I bought it for €40) but I guess all Mx masters use the same logi software.
It doesn’t come with a dongle, so it’s connected through Bluetooth.

ok so maybe the issue is limited to the MX2 and M1... thank you for letting me know :)

OP:
Are you using bluetooth?
Or... are you using the "unifying receiver"?

Bluetooth may produce "choppy" results.
The unifying receiver is better... BUT... you need to attach it (to the MacBook) using a "dongle" like this:
The "for Mac" version does not come with a unifying receiver so I'm forced to connect it via Bluetooth... I was in fact thinking of replacing the "For Mac" version with the normal one but unfortunately, I can't return it any longer... maybe, I'll just sell this one and go for the Magic Mouse 2 but it looks so uncomfortable and I do prefer physical buttons to gestures... Hopefully, this gets fixed soon!

The receiver can be purchased separately ($15 MSRP).

I am trying the smaller Anywhere 3 via USB with an Intel Mac and it has worked flawlessly.

I've also tried the MX Keys via BT with the same Mac, and had to re-pair it within a couple days of usage.

BT has its advantages, but the dongle is more reliable, and the host sees the device as just another USB device.

I wish Logi made an intermediate model sized between the Master and Anywhere. The Master is just too large, and restrictive in terms of grip style, and the Anywhere is too small. But I love the metal, magnetic scroll wheel.

tested 3 of my favorite mice that have bluetooth on my macbook air m1, I can tell you it seems to be a macbook m1 issue bluetooth just lags. my g502 wireless, my g900 wireless and my razer naga pro bluetooth just has that lag jitters

Strangely (or not so strangely), the Apple mouse is perfectly smooth. It's ergonomically a disaster, but somehow it works fine. Very weird.

yep really weird cough apple cough, I already made my midn to never even touch their mice it looks uncomfortable

I have a 2019 Mac Pro connected to a Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2, Magic Trackpad, and MX Master 3 for Mac edition.
I also have a MX Anywhere 3 for Mac edition with an M1 Macbook Pro.
I used to use the original Peromance MX on my macs connected with the Unifying receiver.

I say that all my bluetooth peripherals (Apple or Logitech) will sporadically lose connection randomly, will sometimes have a delay, will sometimes stutter. All these connections tend to fix themselves if I plug into a lightning cable or reset. I actually think I have less connection issues with my Logitech MX for mac peripherals than my original apple ones.

I definitely think that the unifying receiver on my original Performance MX was the most reliable.
Bluetooth on Big Sur has been buggy (both Intel and M1), so I'll always have a lightning cable or USB-c cable to plug in right away if I notice some lag.

My airpods pro also has issues with connecting to my Macs at certain times, but I can't plug a cable into those so I have a back up lightning Beats headphone.

Using an MX Master 2S with Unifiing Receiver on M1 iMac with zero issues. I just ordered ordered a MX Master 3 (NOT Mac Version) as an upgrade. The 2S also works fine on BT, but witht UR it seems more stable.

Hey guyz, it's because of the wifi connection. When you connect to 2.4Ghz wifi, you will face the issues of lagging, but if you switch to 5Ghz wifi, the lagging issues will be gone. Just try it yourself.

Perhaps in some situations, but still occurs when connected via Ethernet and wifi off.

Hi,
in case the problem still appears: On your Mac go to settings -> general and deactivate "handoff". This solved the problem for me.

Logitech does make a mouse (not the MX Master 3) that comes in Large and Small, and Large Lefthanded (guess small southpaws are out of luck).
Yea I have googled around and seen the one I think you are talking about. I do use a lot of the touch gestures on my magic mouse like switching between spaces. So I really need to think on it. Next time I am in Best Buy I will have to play.

Wanted to follow up from my post from last year.

My MX Master 3 Mouse has had no bluetooth problems for a while now. I have a MX Master 3 "for Mac" edition for my 2019 Mac Pro and an Anywhere MX 3 for multiple M1 Macs and they have been very smooth without any connection issues.

I use an MX Master 3, also used to have a MX Master 2, tied to my 2017 15" MBP and now my 16" M1 Pro, no issues via bluetooth.

I'm using a Logitech MX Anywhere 3 with a Macbook 14 M1 Pro. I mostly have lag problems after the computer wakes from sleep. I need to refresh my connection frequently to resolve this issue.

With some apps on my M1 MBP 14in, the mouse and MX Master Keys would sometimes lose a lot of functions like scrolling with the middle wheel, the thumbwheel wouldn't work. The volume control on the keyboard etc same thing. It seemed to be some google apps via WebCatalog. I've removed them and no issues at all the past week. I connect via bluetooth and using the beta logi options+.
