Which keyboard did you guys end up going with?

I have both the Logitech Ultrathin and the Logitech Solar folio.

Between the 2, I like the Ultrathin better, but not by much. If you spend more time with the combination on a flat surface, the solar is better. However, if you spend more time with the combination on your lap, then the Ultrathin is. There's nothing to keep the iPad in the viewing position on the solar folio, which it has to be for the keyboard to work. Conversely, if you decide you don't need the keyboard, e.g., because you want to read a book, you can't fold the keyboard behind the iPad on the Ultrathin, you really have to remove it.

Good point, I never thought about this and was getting ready to order. I would not like that part. This is the reason I did not buy the logitech keyboard that is the aluminum case that snaps on the iPad, no where to put it if you take it off and don't want to use it, can't put it behind.

Thanks,

With the Solar Folio, folding it behind the iPad also disables the keyboard. With the Ultrathin, even taking it off and laying it on a nearby table while you read, watch a movie, etc. isn't 'enough' since the Bluetooth connection is still active. I had stopped reading a book and decided to answer some email and initially wondered why the on screen keyboard was not popping up. Duh, the BT connection was still active.

I think they are both good products (since I do not have the magnet issues others have), but you have to think about how and where you use the iPad before buying.

yeah, I don't like the idea of having to take it off to use the iPad hand held. don't always have a place to put it. When I had my iPad one I bought a Zaggmate and it lasted 2 days when I realized that there was no where to put it if you needed to use the iPad without the keyboard.

Given your requirements, the Solar Folio would be the better solution.
