    Hello,
I've just completed a rough draft of my logo (attached). The logo is for my electronic music project called Nomadic Sun. I wanted the logo to use Neon color, vector script, and to look techno-ish and contemporary. Please critique :) Thank you.

Its good that you used Illustrator to do it. The bad part is I have NO clue what that logo says. It is way too complicated to be a logo. It is more of a graphic element that a functioning logo. I also dont see how the logo related to a music project. As far a color I know you wanted to use a neon color, but I dont know how this would translate on a white or grey background. I dont know if you will always have a black background.

Yeah, a logo with your name should be readable.

I looked at the logo before reading the post. Took a good few minutes to figure out it said nomadic sun, isnt the best choice of font/style in my view.
After reading the post and linking it with music I suppose the round disk thingy could be a record.
The neon blue doesn't say techno to me either, it says dodgy 80's clubs.

I was able to read it right away. It is more difficult then it should be though, so I would agree that for your name it should be more legible.

Not sure on the neon blue either.

Does not need to look techno to be techno. Perhaps have something that looks more like your name.... some starving bugger in the middle of the desert with a turntable and the sun is frying his brains out :D

    Thanks for the critiques, everyone.

Any of these three do anything for yous?
(I know #3 is hard to read- I just liked the tight, fatline style)

All of these designs have been paths in Illustrator- I used no fonts.

    :D :D :D :D :D :D

    NomadicSun?

Find a typeface/font that fits what the logo is representing. Maybe that font fits, Idk. Looks like a logo for an electronic company or something. What is the logo for?

It's for an electronic musician's web site/t-shirt. I want to integrate this line-y drawing with a whole series of lines. Almost like a pipe network.

The blues and blacks look good, but it is a bit difficult to read.

I would work on making it more legible, then tweak the design stuff afterwards.
