Same here and hoping it will get fixed as well.It is 70 seconds extra when I start up the Mac, and everything else is working. Hence, I won’t worry to much about it until/if it is an issue when Ventura is off beta. I know it is a Ventura/SW combo, and suddenly it will be fixed.
This is great news. I also have Bitdefender installed and reported the issue to Bitdefender. Got a reply back which was useless considering they asked me to provide information I had already given them in the initial report. The only thing extra I did give them on my second response was a file called "BDProfilerTool_0ut.zip". I will leave BD installed only because I am curious as to what their followup response will be.With Bitdefender, a boot from boot to desktop, with a few seconds for password, is 1m:36s.
Without Bitdefender, 20 seconds.
Do you also have the update error (-2) in Bitdefender?I also have Bitdefender installed and reported the issue to Bitdefender.
Yes. I even uninstalled Bitdefender then reinstalled a fresh copy, same results same error message.Do you also have the update error (-2) in Bitdefender?
I tried that, as mentioned previously.I would also try booting with all of your external drives disconnected. I have an issue where an USB 3.0 drive I use for media causes the machine to hang during restart for about the same length of time. As soon as I unplugged the drive the start up completed.
I updated the MacOS 13 working/not working wiki and put in Bitdefender as partially working with caveats.I tried that, as mentioned previously.
The long boot time ended up being 100% connected to Bitdefender. With Bitdefender installed, there was an 80 second delay in the boot sequence, and without Bitdefender, it takes 10 seconds from password to desktop (with Thunderbolt and USB devices connected.)
I have the same issue with official Ventura 13.0 and 13.0.1.OK - not a Login item issue. I disabled all the Login Items, including all the background ones, and the issue is still present;
I type in my password, and the boot continues for 10 seconds. Then it sits there for 70 seconds, at around 60%, and then it zips into the desktop, and all is up and running in 80 seconds.
