I think Apple only made around 10K iPhone SE. They're purposely pushing the shipping dates back to create false demand. Apple does this every year a new iPhone comes out. Who wants a recycled iPhone SE when you can buy a Samsung device, with top of the line specs. Apple is doomed! Doomed, I tell you!
Well, happy SOMEONE around here knows what they're talking about.

I guess this is a pretty popular item. Now I'm glad I ordered a week ago and had it shipped to me. (After complaining about the shipping process and thinking I should have waited and gotten it at the store. )

Now THAT'S gonna be the best thing since... well, since the Tesla Model S! I can't wait for the big reveal tonight. Makes my new phone seem like pretty small potatoes. :D

I agree! My deposit is ready for tonight. Unfortunately, the closest store for me is 150 miles or I would've been in line with them. Hoping I can option up to AWD and Autopilot for under $50k. Fingers crossed!

The Apple Store where I live had all of them this morning, but most have now sold out. Supply didn't make it one full day.

I actually bought one this morning, but I ended up realizing a couple defects. I went to exchange it this afternoon (after calling to make sure they still had 64GB Space Grey), and they were all out. I ended up just returning it for now. I'll try again maybe later on. Not going to mess with it for now.

Just a word of caution: don't go by what the website says. I'd call the store first and make sure they have whatever you're looking to find. I saw for two different options that it was available in store, but they were not. Something funky is going on with Apple Store stocking.

Long lines? No, but probably about three other people were getting iPhones. No iPad buyers. And oh, the rose and space gray SEs with 64 MB were out of stock. :|

Do the Apple stores get shipments of new phones daily?

Can anyone tell me why everyone buy from the apple stores and not from like other electronic stores?
Well in the UK you get a 14 day no quibbles return policy. In other stores it varies. Some will only give you a refund if it's faulty. If you buy from the Apple Store you can also exchange within 14 days for a different size of colour. In other stores it varies. There is also the added bonus of buying apple care plus on the spot if you want it. Also there is a wider range of accessories to choose from in the Apple Store. Finally the staff at the Apple Store will be able to answer any questions you might have better than staff in another electronics store.

I don't know about overseas, but here in the US the electronic stores are a joke. Bad business practices, horrible or non-existent customer service/support, and you're almost always going to find a better deal online.

I've been an Apple customer for well over a decade... Never had an issue with my purchases (some have been faulty, all issues corrected).

Major purchases, I will always go to the Apple Store. Accessories=Negative.

I asked about shipments to the store yesterday, since I ended up returning my defective SE (couldn't exchange). They told me that they didn't get very many SE models in from the get go. I'm thinking that this is maybe because of how backed up online orders are right now? No clue. I have to drive 20 minutes one way to get to the store, which in my life is inconvenient. Since the Apple Store app is clearly not accurate on inventory, I'm not going to risk driving over there for a bit until stock evens out.

Funny thing is, the app is still showing they have the phone I needed available. Yet yesterday they told me they didn't. Something doesn't add up. I've had the same thing happen with almost all the Apple Watch accessories for a good while when they first come out with anything new.

@PaladinGuy wow many people on this forum seems to be having defective SE (most got spacegrey), U should get the gold version (I heard it's a very good element that provides very valuable properties)

They are all made out of the same material, aluminium. The colour is just a coating. The gold is not made of real gold. It's just a coating.

Easier to get an unlocked international phone. I've tried at a Verizon store and they gave me a song and dance about having to have an account before buying one unlocked. Which isn't true. So rather than go hunting around Verizon stores I prefer going to the Apple store that's just a few stops away from my office on the Metro line I usually take.
I also believe, but don't quote me on it, that the unlocked devices at the Apple store have more international bands than the ones at Verizon.

you know why gold colour is the most bought in China, cuz dem chinese workers keep the best ones for themselves and send in the defective ones for you boyz :3

@maflynn nah man u owned too many apple products, so they don't send u a defective one :)
they know thier loyalty :)

[I do know the true reason for gold colour popularity]

U can buy unlocked at other big electronic stores (not mobile providers ones)

yah bit frustrating. It's either purchase on the Apple website or go to the store.
But it's OK. Going to the store means being able to play in an iDevice wonderland. HA!!!

I was suprised cuz it was my first time going to an apple store, but people were even reading thier books while charging thier phones (they unplugged the actual phone)

Probably waiting for one of the classes they hold? Or waiting for a Genius appointment? I'm usually ooooooooohhhhhing and aaaaaaaahhhhhhhing too much to notice people....
