In my never ending quest to collect all the iPhones I'm glad when I finally get the 6S+ and 6S as I've had them before but sold them and happily rocking my SE. Honestly if there were one...maybe two phones to keep me on them for a long time it would have been my Note 5 and SE. Honestly, I may keep tabs on the Note 6 as I still love Android, but right now at this point in time, the SE is ticking all the boxes for me. If Apple goes OLED or SAMOLED soon then I may give up Android but there is no denying Samsung has some beautiful screens.

Honestly I think the SE will keep me longer than anything else I've owned. I also kept my 5 longer than any other phone I've ever had.

I have a Note 5 and the SE. I use them both. The Note 5 I've had since Nov last year, and it's been a great phone so
far. The SE I use on my days off from work, or walking, much more pocketable.

I feel the exact same way using my iPhone 6, 64GB.

- Great display
- Great size
- Amazing camera for a mobile device
- More storage than I could possibly need
- Plenty of power, still feels very quick

I probably won't be upgrading this year, although I have previously been on a two-year upgrade cycle.

The few things which could sway my mind:

- A new, breathtaking design. If the 7 looks the same, I'll stick with the 6.
- Reduced bezels
- 32GB base storage, would reduce the upgrade cost.
- Full HD resolution display
- Waterproofing
- Wireless charging

I'm guessing longevity with an iPhone (or any device) is rare now days?

Maybe for the original owner who is a fan of new phones.

My iPhone 4, which I used for 23 months, bought at release, is still in use by a brother in law. Almost 5 1/2 years in use. Plan is for him to get my 6 this fall. My 5 is still in use, 3 1/2 years in use.

The 3G was the least capable phone. Was just used for the 2 years.

Yeah, I hear you.

We keep our phones. They turn into media devices when done being used or get parceled out to whomever needs a phone.

There's two people out there right now who still have their Sprint SERO employee plans because we sent them an HTC Touch Pro and an HTC Touch Pro 2 (free of charge).

Another friend of mine got my sister's iPhone 3GS. He's still using it as a primary phone. And both my wife's iPhone 5 and mine are sitting right next to me as I type this.

Longest time for me was with the 3GS, which I acquired at launch, in June, 2009.

I hung onto it until the 4S bowed in Oct, 2011.

The 3GS debuted with iPhone OS 3 and then handled iOS 4 well. I think it even handled iOS 5 well enough, but I had upgraded by then.

My wife had my old iPhone 4 and loved it so much she didn't want my old 5 s when I brought 6 plus. I gave that to a friend but the 4's battery died and iOS updated slowed it so she now has 6s.

But she really wanted a thinner 4 size phone. She thinks 6 is too big-

Seems lots of people lived the compactness of the 4 so why doesn't apple make a thin 4 sized model?
