Just out of curiosity thought it be fun to ask whats the longest youve gone with a physically damaged iphone. had my 5S dented really bad for about 4 months and was fine. i know someone that used a cracked screen for half a year.

I've never damaged any of my iPhones. I know someone that dropped a 4s a month after owning it, shattering the screen, and had it the full length of the contract. By the end, there were shards of screen missing. He then got a 5c and broke it within months.

Wow that has to be hard to beat. Espically on a 3.5 inch screen

About 4 months with my old 4s when my power button no longer pushed in.

I basically lived with assistive touch and hoped to god that my phone never screwed up to the point that I needed "DFU mode" to be done.

Years!!! I have a 3GS I use for work when I'm out in the field. Home button has been dodgy for years. I won't change it until it gives out completely!

I've never damaged a phone yet. It would depend on the damage. I've seen people continue to use a phone that has cracks running all over the screen. I would have a hard time trying to do that!

My 4s got soaked in March 2013, and was completely dead for 2 days. The battery was shot after that, as well as the top of the touch screen. All of those automated phone menus where they ask you to hit 1, 2, or 3 were problematic. I replaced it with 6 on the release date.

I have had a hairline crack on my 6 Plus for about 2 months. It's my first and only (accidental) damage done to one of my devices.

The new 6 is very tough. It dropped 9 feet to concrete and only a small crack and some damage to the aluminum back. it wasn't in a case. Any previous iPhone wouldve shattered I'm sure

I cracked my iPhone 6 screen badly. It still worked but I had to go about 5 days with it until I could get to the Genius Bar and replace it under AppleCare+

Not iphone but.... The waterproof casing and port covers on my Sony Xperia Z1 began to degrade and fall off 2 months after purchase, first the charging port (obviously from plugging the phone in) but then the problem moved onto the sim card port. After 3 replacements in 8 months I gave up.

I've been lucky I suppose, I've never had to deal with a damaged phone (knocks on wood).

1 day. It was a warranty issue (power button) and I scheduled an appointment and got the phone replaced right away. :p Of course, nowadays, it seems almost impossible to get same or next day Genius Bar appointments.

Apple employees are super busy everyday.

I have damaged the back of my phones before and kept them until a new iPhone came out. For the first time ever I cracked the front of my iPhone 6 and since it is barely noticeable when the screen is lit I am going to hold onto it. One more crack though and I may cash in my AppleCare+

I've never had any bad damaged on my iPhones. Back in the day when I was working demolition my old 3GS was dropped from a massive height, bouncing off iron bars, brick walls and landing on rough concrete. The bloody thing survived with barely a scratch, i was dumbfounded :D

Other than that there's been no real incidents with my phones. My brother-in-law on the other hand somehow manages to smash the screen on every phone he gets with bizarre regularity, god knows what he does with them.

I'm sure they are overworked. My gripe is with Apple for not hiring more employees. Customer service is one the things Apple is best known for. It's a shame to see that it's not up to old standards (granted still better than the competition).

The home button on my iPhone 5 gets crunchy every few months, but it's inconsistent. I had it repaired almost two years ago after having the phone for about 6 months or so.

My boyfriend didn't last a day when he shattered the screen on his iPhone 5. He had me drive the 45 minutes to our closest Apple Store to get him a new one about a year ago.

Damaged almost all of mine but always got them replaced the next day, too annoying to keep them damaged.

I dropped my iPhone 4 & obliterated my screen. The entire top half of the screen was missing to the point u could see the components. I used it for half a year
