While the chance of new Mac Pro is next to nil, Apple might mention it with a verbiage that it is on track for late 2022 release, meeting the 2-year Apple Silicon transition goal.

Remembering the golden era. WWDC, 2012. Introduction of Macbook Pro 15" w/ retina display. How can you not be overblown by this?

Bring out the colorful MacBook Air. 🌈

I loved that whole video showcasing it with Coldplay’s ‘paradise’ playing. Ahhh the nostalgia. One of my favourites. 2012 was the last full golden year of Apple to me.

Like WWDC 2018, WWDC 2021 included no new hardware, and it focused on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

WWDC 2022: Time Will Tell
Looking forward to finding out everything that the current rumors never divulged about the 2022's OS's. Hardware I doubt, but still possible we see some informative discussion about the AS based Mac Pro that has yet to be shown.

My non-Pro MacBook and non-Pro iMac were both announced at WWDC 2017 too.

Pretty sure the glasse won’t be presented, but I could see the RealityOs being presented.

Ideally, a whole VR ecosystem has to be developed before the glasse release (it wasn’t the case for the iPhone) and we have to let dev some time!

I don’t expect the air to be released either. It’s a pro event. Not a consumer one. Maybe the Mac Pro?

June 6th is the best time to introduce the next generation OG HomePod Dolby Atmos+ cinema system (9.1 ch. ). Although it’s not gonna happen, it still is the best time. Apple needs a new golden era. The cinemas are losing ground so Apple needs to be bold!

I have a feeling MacBook Air will be announced. Due to a Back to School promotion.
I don’t see them launching the new MacBook Air at WWDC considering the target audience. Apple did launch the 2018 MacBook Pro’s after WWDC, but that was more a fluke. In addition to a redesign, Apple would likely want to launch it with M2 but to avoid affecting the brand of the current M1 Pro and Max CPUs is more likely to launch it in October. Apple would also like the new MacBooks to come preloaded with macOS 13.

HW that impacts developers might be announced, eg AR/VR, maybe M2 if it offers new “features” that require new development.
MacPro nor “colorful MBA” impact developers, so just forget about it…

2018 was a real low point - they used 3D, depth and glossy UI elements, none of which ever materialized. Kinda felt like a “me too” vaporware after MS announced their new UI designs (if I’m not mistaken around same time, but at least they delivered on it)

I highly doubt we will see any hardware announcements this year (It’s more of a rarity, then it is a commonality as it is.)
Three of the past five WWDC's have had hardware introduced. So it's actually more of a commonality, then a rarity.

WWDC 2017 had so many product announcements. That year is memorable to me.

The target audience of the WWDC sessions is developers.
The target audience of the WWDC keynote is the whole world.

Plus, MacBook Airs are very common amongst developers. And if it had M2, that would also generate interest.

WWDC is still primary a software event, with all the possible OS improvements, revised apps, and services they now offer, its tough to try to market hardware when you can have that be a separate announcement event. We'll see. ;)
