This is what I ended up going with. It relies on the adhesive on the lid as well, but I just bit the bullet for now.

It is extremely expensive though! £65 for an AirPods Pro case is just too much, plus only the sides of the AirPods are protected with this case.

Yes I have the Arc case. Yes it is expensive but I personally think it's the best looking AirPods case. Yes only the sides are protected although it does protect the front and back pretty good due to it's thickness. You did express earlier on in the thread that this case is not for you. I get that it's not for everyone. I happen to love it.

In the beginning you asked for a high quality case which this is. High quality comes with a higher price. You asked for a case with good protection. This case has good protection. You asked for a case that doesn't use adhesive but still stays on well. This one does exactly that. This case checks all those boxes and why I suggested it. You never said cheap...

I love the looks of it which is everything to me. I do not like the full rubber or plastic shells as I feel they look cheap. It feels premium and solid. And it fits perfectly. Overall just a cool unique case.
