I find BOSE make good stuff,, BUT big BUT you can get way better for what you pay...IMO try out shure or ultimate ears

Try some other cans like Grado (warning, these are Pro Headphones and they will not keep noise inside the Headphone very well, so not good for a library.) Also, remember that it takes a while with all of my Shures about a week to get used to (wearing maybe two-three hours a day.)

I just got a pair of Grado's. They are truly amazing. I feel like i'm listening to new versions of my music. You hear so much more with these. Beautiful sound. Pretty much for sitting at home with though. I've read people find them uncomfortable. I don't find that at all. Very light and comfortable. Not bulky/helmet-like the way some headphones are made.

If you're low on budget Koss Porta Pro is the way to go in my opinion. They've been in production since 1984, so they must be good :)

I paid 30e for mine with shipping, which isn't bad at all for these headphones. You can use twice the money easily on headphones that aren't as good as porta pros. ;)

Oh, and if you're looking for grados, sr60 are fine headphones, only problem is that they sit on your ear, even though they look like cups. Haven't used them for longer periods so don't know how comfortable they are, sat fine for some minutes though.

If you're looking for bigger cups, always bear in mind to see the impedance. If they are too heavy, the sound won't be too good without an external amp :(

Oh, and yea, porta pros do look a bit retro :D

And almoust forgot, they fold nicely in to this little leather bag which comes with them. No need to carry them on your neck all the time if you're not listening.
