Media Markt (or any chain in those lines) have converters that will cost you about $4. Forget any other designer stuff. You will be throwing extra $$ away for nothing.

Pick-up a World Travel Adapter Pack whilst you're there

If I have a US/Canada power cord and I can buy a EU power cord, then I have one for the most countries I go to. I think the travel pack is a little overpriced for what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a normal EU power cord. I don't want to use pieces to plug in, it just doesn't look good.

I was thinking, if I buy a rMBP in Canada and I'm not happy with it, can I return it to an Apple store in the US?

The reason for my question is the following. I plan to order a rMBP somewhere around the 15th of July. I'll be in Canada the 7th of August. Then I travel to NY the 12th. Maybe the updated rMBP release before the 15th of July and then I'm happy or they release in the period between the 15th and 7th and then I would be very mad :(
