I doubt we see a major upgrade to the MBP lineup in march. I would just buy now if you need something. Everyone I know always gets 4-5 years out of their Macs.

That's the exact model I'm looking to get. I just checked Best Buy and they seem to no longer have the $200 off. I think B&H still has it though with free shipping so I might try to set it up so it delivers next week.
My other question is for anyone who might have one, what's your experience with the track pad like? Some reviews say the palm rejection is great and some say they get a lot of random right clicks they don't want.

That one also has the upgraded processor. In addition there is a widely know $50 off code than can be used.
As far a palm rejection goes, I think many solve it by turning tap to click off.

Personally, i would wait. Keyboard problems are enough of an reason to wait.
Probably will not see an March update, more likely it is in June. But the update will (most likely) bring 8th gen 6-core CPU's to 15" MBP's.
So in a long time, this is going to be significant performance boost. But, ofc if you can't wait. Then 2017 MBP would be a huge upgrade from what you have now.
