Uh, Android caught and passed iOS a little over a year ago.
Please notice how the core features of iOS 5 (new notifications and voice recognition) have been in android for over a year already.
iOS still doesn't have as many features as Android. It probably never will due to the closed ecosystem that Apple prefers.
I like to compare stuff by comparing pros and cons. The one with the more pros is the better OS. And Android has the most pros.
Android was probably the first OS to have Voice recognition. That's not breakthrough? with ICS, they have Face Unlock. Not breakthrough still?
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)
Their highly anticipated event just ended, and it was no more exciting than Apples. A mediocre phone (Galaxy Nexus) with specs no better than the GS2 besides the 720p screen, and the rest of the event focused on software. (Android 4.0) looks like some must needed polish for android and some new features...nothing too exciting. But I'm sure no older phones will see ICS until mid 2012, if at all. I guess next year will be the big year for smartphones...
As opposed to "the fewer features you have the better the OS"? Should not we all prefer dumb phones then?
android doesn't have core midi or the ability to be the best music production tool in the mobile space.. or imaging.. or video..
Actually, both operating systems are aimed at the same market. I will agree that there are some Android phones that have a difference target demographic than the iPhone... but this is natural since there are probably a dozen different Android models in stores at any given timeat the end of the day, both platforms are developed towards a different market. i enjoy the close system that apple offers. i have a powerful platform to do audio production on without worrying about what roms to flash etc. you might enjoy the versatility of tweaking and so forth that android offers.
Everything I stated is a fact. Draw your own conclusions.people got to stop bashing and just start appreciating that competing companies benefits users.
Then follow it directly up with the face unlock failure. Is this amateur hour?
Is that a fancy way of saying that Android doesn't have a music studio app or a video editing app?ICS just got video editing.
