I can't wait till the iPhone is on VZW. 1, so at&t doesn't continue to get crowded. And 2, so people can see VZW is no better.

its going to be called ''iPhone 4S" S stands for Signal :p:apple:
Snort! Love it! :D

For what it is worth, they are CDMA iphones being tested , they have shown up in the bart train wifi logs, it seems testers have been logging on the San Francisco Bart Train's wifi while commuting...............
So how does one know it is a CDMA phone when logging onto WiFi?

Wouldn't they be logging onto other cell networks to test the CDMA capabilities?

Confused?

This is impossible cuz apple's contract to AT&T won't end till 2012 or something
Assuming this is true. :)

"LOOPRumors has learned that Apple is planning on naming the iPhone 5 the iPhone V, using the Roman numeral V (as with OS X) rather than the Aramaic number 5. The V would have a double entendre, however, as the V would represent a CDMA version of the iPhone which would work on the Verizon network.
Our source revealed that the iPhone V will be announced within 3-6 months. This timeframe seems relatively soon as it comes on the heals of the iPhone 4 release, however, the problematic iPhone 4’s antenna and September 30th deadline of the free bumper cases make the timing more credible."

V for Vagina? Apple to offer porn apps? Maybe Steve just wanted to "do them the right way"?

if y'all think for a SECOND that Apple is gonna offer two different models of iPhones (one on ATT and one on VZW), in terms of fuctionality and features, you're FREAKING high. The ONLY difference between a phone on Verizon and AT&T will be CDMA and GSM. Period. Battery life may differ slightly, but that's it. One of Apple's biggest corporate ideals is to offer the same user experience to all its customers, regardless what carrier they chose.

The next iPhone (2011) will not be LTE; it's just not gonna happen. Verizon's LTE will be just barely rolled out and ATT's will still be in the early stages of deployment this time next year. LTE chips aren't even available yet! It's like everyone forgot the first iPhone was EDGE even though 3G existed in most major markets at the time. Why didn't Apple do 3G w/ the first iPhone? Simple: it was available in enough markets and 3G chips consumed too much energy. The same will be true for initial LTE chips.

Expect an LTE phone in 2012 folks, not 2011.

I hope the iPhone DOES go to Verizon (and Sprint, and T-Mobile, and MetroPCS, and BOOST, and whoever the f**k else) just so they can free up AT&T's network. Personally, I love AT&T. But the less people we have on it, the better my service will be. I'm ready for FaceTime on-the-go.

I think you'll find the V sign has a triple meaning, direct from Apple:

Yep, buy our phones that don't work, and get a V sign while you're at it.
