I had the same issue as you. I walked in the Apple Store and got a new iPhone 6 few seconds later.
I reported my issue after having my iPhone 2 months.

And the new one has been fine since?

I think it might be seen as something pretty petty to go to the Genius Bar with.

My Plus had the camera recall. When I brought it to the Genius Bar I also told them about my clicky screen. They must have tightened it better when they put it back on cause now it's been quiet.

I repaired clicky screen on my own. Clicky effect was on the left side, near volume buttons. Method is simple and easy, but not without a risk of damage. Just hold device with most of your fingers in the center of the backside. Use thumbs to press hardly, harder than in normal, every-day use: just like trying to bent, press at once top-left corner and bottom-right corner of the screen bezels.
I tried to reproduce the clicky effect after above process, but I can't. It is free of clicks now.
I have put iPhone in the Apple silcone (lemon green) case after the repair.

BTW: I was using phone in the case for about 4÷5 months, the next 2÷3 months I started using it without a cases, until the clicky problem (which I described above).

I took my iPhone 6 to my local Apple store today because the lower right corner was 'clicking' and a touch loose as it had been since I got it.

In truth it didn't overly bother me but I was concerned dust or moisture might get in.

Anyway, straight away the genius knew the problem and arranged for the screen to be replaced (90 mins) I asked if it was a common problem and he said it was a decent percentage, higher than most issues.

As I said the speed he recognised it and his comments suggest it's definitely an issue the stores are more than familiar with it. wether or not Apple themselves are aware of it or not, who knows.

Thought I'd share this incase anyone else was having a similar problem.

did they charge anything?

If you hang around in threads where people gather with iPhone problems, obviously you're going to think the faults are "common". No, you're talking of a tiny fraction of a fraction of a percentage of the ENTIRE iPhone customer base, and they're all in one place, discussing faults... so what would you expect?

Logic and reason... ahhhh.

Lol.

I bought an iphone6 when the 6 was launched and it had this problem.

I received a brand new replacement iphone 6 from apple earlier this year (2018) and it has this problem.

2 out of 2 and you're saying this is a small percentage? It's a design or manufacturing fault and again indicative of the lowering of apple product quality
