It's been super hot in SLC lately too. Well it get's over 100 F all the time in the summer, but generally by this point in the year, it's down in the low 70's upper 60's. It's been in the 90's since May.

I love it though!

that's pretty hot lol

do they have to go back to calling it global warming now?

its always hot in Miami.

but its the humidity that raises that heat index

Remind me never to move somewhere like that. I'm much better equipped to handle the -5º to -15º nights we get in the winter than I am to handle a 113º day.

In north Australia it is not uncommon for it to hit 115 or 46'C in our measurement, in Sydney summer time can see it commonly hitting 104 - 108

We had some thunderstorms today! It's beginning to feel like Central America and South America....humidity, tropical weather, thunder, rain, sun, rainbows .... Sticky...

The last thing we would need is fires!!!

Santa Ana Winds are schedule to come next Thursday and Friday and temperatures are expected to hit 90 and 100!:(

You can have all you want. We've got plenty to go around.:)

We were in a mild drought. It hadn't rained nearly at all in two months. Now four days later, we've had a "surplus" of rain for the year.

2 months! Try one year!!! from June 2006- July 2007 Los Angeles only received 3 inches of rain!!!

I believe this is when global warming started getting more popular :D

I don't like the heat, but this rain has been nice. We certainly need it - especially with the Santa Ana winds on their way. Plus, I was able to give my ride a 287mph bath this morning. :D

Your ground crew will love you, if you didn't get into the grass on the way back to the hanger. lol :p

well today is odd, it's a cold 66 degrees and it's raining....... Last Monday I was complaining it's too hot!!!!! But now i'm not complaining, it's okay!:D

Only in SoCal will you ever see this type of unusual weather! :p

108...poor you. The Phoenix area is so much hotter than that sometimes. I remember one day, to put it in perspective, America West had to ground their entire fleet, because the takeoff charts only went to 120, when the airfield temperature was 122. When it's that hot, I sit inside in the airconditioned house and use my computer. :)

I hear some people in Arizona fill their bathtubs at night to deal with the dry heat. Is that true and does it work?

I've never tried that. Seems like a waste of water to me.

And I like how 113 is a big deal. We have literally had weeks over over 110 every day.

I think this summer we had something like 9 days in a row with highs over 110 and lows in the 90-92 range. It's hot when it's 100 at 10pm.

The average daytime high of 105.3 degrees was almost normal, but overnight lows averaged 82.8 degrees, almost 3 degrees above normal and the fifth-warmest nighttime average in 114 years of record-keeping

Just take a look at the daily temperature charts.
