I have a friend who recently lost his iPhone, however does not know what iCloud account he had his info backed up on. When he got his phone, the Apple Specialist had him create a new iCloud account that is separate from his iTunes purchases account, however the email address for the iCloud account has been forgotten. We've tried the iForgot stuff but no dice.

  • Can one create an iCloud account without a prior email address? (If no, I suppose this would limit the amount of guessing that has to be done)
  • Can an Apple employee look at the Apple ID database and find accounts under a certain name? (Is there any hope in going to an Apple store?)

Thank you in advance.
