Lost Next-Generation iPhone Believed to Be Late-Stage or Final Design

Buttons, maybe. Bezel, no. It's clear from the teardown pictures that the bezel is an extension of the metal body. Screws go right through it on both sides of each seam, just millimeters from the outer surface. Aluminum exteriors are a trademark of Apple's and I'm sure they're eager to set themselves apart from their plastic-obsessed competition in the smartphone market. The plastic back on the 3G/3GS was an interim solution they had to stoop to while exploring the use of ceramics.
I doubt that, my money is that the separate buttons will gain soft (or smart) functionality such as a shutter button when in camera mode. At least that's what I'm hoping for, right now it's hard to take a picture if you're not looking where the small camera shutter button is.
why not? there are tiny screws in the bottom of iPhones for the last two years

There will be no lawsuit against anyone involved in this..because it's a Publicity Stunt...still no cease and desist order for Gizmodo? on what grounds would Apple Sue? a lawsuit because YOUR employee lost something and somebody found it and took pictures of it? yet you don't ask them to take the images down? how will it benifit Apple to Sue Gizmodo two months from now?

If apple was so concerned, why not make Gizmodo take down the images?! This right here should be the number #1 question asked?
The iPhone 4 will have a aluminum back cover.
Every line of apple products have aluminum (well, almost lol), MBP, iMac, iPad, MBA, Mac Pro, Mac Mini, even the ipod nano and shuffle are aluminum, i really think this is just a simple cover just to hang around with the iphone, testing it. I don't like this design at all it's like people say....it's "unApple"

you must be nuts my friend...Apple ditched the Aluminum backed phones back in 08 because of reception issues...the metal blocks those important cellular signals...
This whole thing makes me mad. It's not special anymore, and Gizmodo ruined it! How dare they!
UGH, we wait all year to hear FROM APPLE about APPLE's products, not to hear GIZMODO or any OTHER company tell about another company's products. If a new iPhone, or any other phone, is going to come out, it should be the MAKER of that phone to introduce it. After all, THEY are the ones that spent years designing and slaving over the device, putting all of the hours in to make it; they don't put tha tmuch time and effort into this sort of thing just to have a petty company destroy their moment with HORRIBLE videos, and a not-attractive looking person introducing it. If they were going to put the displayer's face on the video, they should have at least had a model do it or something. For goodness sake, it is the next iPhone!! You can't just have ANY ONE introduce it. It isn't special if it's not steve.
I say poop on Gizmodo; their mother was a hamster and their father smelt of elderberries!!!

Once the cat is out of the bag, it's out of the bag.
That doesn't mean you don't go after the perpetrator even though the damage is already done.
Because then there would be no question that the device truly is the next thing. At least by acting non-chelant they allow for speculation.

Never heard of "oldschool apple talk"... I was merely trying to express my thoughts in the kindest way possible.
I was talking about the 3GS, 3G and first generation.
That looks a little thick, but I'd totally buy it. It reminds me of the iPod classic.
