The whole show was about faith vs. science.
Maybe not the kind of faith that's associated with Christianity but still faith.
I don't see lost having anything to do with faith.

No idea, the Digg post references that this was originally posted to the Bad Robot (JJ Abram's production company) community site... but there's no way to tell. At the very least, I read it as an interpretation of the show... just like everyone here has had their interpretation. I just happen to like how it seems to tie most everything together for me more cohesively than I've been able to do on my own. There are still plenty of holes... but this, to me, explains most of those questions.interesting read, although it makes me like the show much much less.
do we know if this is just someone's opinion or if it it the legit wiewpoint of the writer's team?
So, still no answer whether this is the "official" stance of the writers... but is an interpretation of someone who did actually work on the show. So again, read in to it what you will.Update: 26th May I've spoken to ABC and they have confirmed that this person did use to work for ABC as an Intern but were released 3 years ago.

Assuming you are serious,
here are the definitions of faith that are addressed in Lost:
1. belief that is not based on proof
2. confidence or trust in a person or thing
3. the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement, etc.
4. the observance of this obligation; fidelity to one's promise, oath, allegiance, etc.

Then that would be about every show on TV.
Maybe he has you on ignore.
But yeah, your post stated it pretty succinctly.
Make a new thread asking if you are on their ignore list.Thank you.
I wonder if I'm on anyone's Ignore List.......![]()

Don't worry, people who don't like you wouldn't be able to see it anyway.^^^ Yes you did.
That would go over well..![]()
I don't think you understand what the word "faith" means. It doesn't necessarily have to do with religion (but in order to have religion, you have to have faith). Faith is a strong belief/trust in something (or an idea) without a full understanding of it....
All true ... And there's the faith that if we patiently watch the show for six years it will lead to a satisfying conclusion. :

So far, good responses. I was gonna say the same thing. Ultimately the whole show, character wise, has been Locke's views versus Jack's views. They were both headstrong characters that always clashed because one was a man of science and the other was a man of faith. But in the end, we see that Jack has transformed into a man of faith. I really think, in the end, the show was all about the characters as opposed to the island stuff so...in that regard, faith was always an aspect of the show. On my blog, I wrote how the show was truly a character study. Even the exec. producers admitted in the recap show before the finale that they wrote the show as a character study (examining who they were and how they reacted to different situations, such as the island).
On a side note, has everyone heard about the LOST exhibit on 73rd street in Manhattan at the Vilcek Foundation? They have tons of props from the show that were donated by ABC Studios. They even have the Dharma van! It's so awesome. I took a trip there yesterday. It's free admission. I posted a video on YouTube of the exhibit here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e32-KfDo0HQ
Anyone been there yet?
