Just picked it up today at Best Buy. It’s $150 cheaper than the official apple magic keyboard and I feel the material feels way nicer.
Everything is good, the touchpad is fantastic. The keyboard is backlit and the keys are very satisfying when clicking. It has all the functions/commands the apple magic keyboard has. I also like physical buttons on the keyboard being able to adjust keyboard brightness which the apple product doesn’t have.

I have it for the 2021 12.9. I like that the keyboard is detachable and that it has a kickstand. The kickstand is real handy when using it without the keyboard while in a chair or in bed. And I like having function keys. A great product.

I'm really tempted to get this. I have the 2020 Apple MK for my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9". But, I'd like something more versatile and protective for travel.

My only concern is the space the rig would take up on a commercial airplanes's tray. Though I guess I could store the keyboard portion of the case.

Another big plus are the function keys, which the Apple MK does not have. If this would go a sale I'd be on it ;)

On a plane, I would just detach the keyboard and use it as a tablet with kickstand. Another plus is that the kickstand is extremely adjustable, unlike using a trifold case with a single standing angle. And it's steady. I bought on Amazon so I could easily return it if I didn't like it - not a chance.

The MK is always down to $199 nowadays at Amazon and Best Buy.

It will fit the 5th gen as well.

Yeah, I got both the MK and the Combo Touch for my 12.9 and returned the MK as I liked the Logitech better.

If you're talking about the Logitech Combo Touch, yeah I love this case. I have it on my Air 4.

Logitech keyboards are great, but not a fan of the kickstand.

Don’t you find it difficult to balance when using on lap or sitting up in bed? I prefer a simple triangle type stand for greater stability.

The utility of the kickstand in my lap and in bed was one of the selling points that made my mind up to keep it. I find it much better than a triangular stand on a folio as it is sturdy and angle adjustable.

I use it on a large throw pillow, both in bed and in my recliner. Balances great that way and puts it at a better height so I'm not looking down at it, but straight across.

I have the Combo Touch for my 11” and it works quite well. It’s weight is my only concern, but it balances well where I need it to and the keyboard is solid. Also it actually protects the iPad unlike the Magic Keyboard.

I’m enjoying the keyboard and the fabric is excellent. No concerns about it marking from just putting on a table like the MK which looks dirty if you so much as a look at it.

The left edge of the case where the keyboard connector is completely covers up the left side microphone hole but I can't tell any degradation in sound quality. Speaker areas have openings and sound is great. I haven't had a problem connecting USB-C devices - card reader, hub, third party cables (I have this for the 2021 12.9).

Thank you very much as am currently debating on this one or the 2020/2021 magic keyboard for the 2021 IPad Pro 12.9

I got both to try them out and kept the Logitech. In addition to the kickstand and function keys, I liked the the material, key feel and price better.

That is really useful to know, especially where it concerns a function keys where you can alter brightness / volume etc.

One other aspect I like that I forgot to mention was that the keyboard is separable but leaves the iPad with the back cover and kickstand attached. Also, I would not consider this a "lapable" cover - the combo of keyboard and kickstand are too long on my legs.

The fact that it is separable is quite essential as if I am on a long train journey, having it in full form will be useful for photoediting on Lightroom / photoshop etc with the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil. But if I don’t want to be leaning over a keyboard all the time for doing edits, especially as Lightroom mobile hasn’t got trackpad support as yet, it would be easier to have the keyboard reversed or not attached at all. Also the Logitech is a lot cheaper than the Apple Magic keyboard.
