Phones just got released today and already 3 threads on mysterious data usage increases?

Coincidence?

Anyone regret not keeping Unlimited data?

People are just looking things up more often. You can do things faster, so naturally will do more. I rarely use to search on my phone, but with speeds as fast as my home network the desire to pull out a laptop has declined. 200 mb is 200mb no matter the speed

This is a good eye opener for those residing behind the walls of Apples Garden. Not having an LTE phone till now, they're just getting a taste of what many of us multi-platform users have enjoyed for months.

I've had a few lines with unlimited data & kept them. Now with at least two of my LTE phones active at all times, my unlimited data plan is golden.

While I cannot explain why, I'm very lucky to use well over the "Limit" as I haven't been throttled. Ever :)

Not to say it won't happen, but so far, so good !

Thanks AT&T :)

Yup all those who kept saying "you're data usage won't go up just because LTE is faster. Downloading emails and webpages uses the same amount of data!"

They neglected the fact that since you're data speeds are much faster, you will do more things with that data. Have fun with the overages.

You don't use your home network wifi? Just curious cause you mentioned your laptop.

Why? I paid $299 and kept my unlimited data plan.

Same except I paid 432(after taxes for a 64gb) + 25(activation fee) + 240(spread over 2 years at $10 a month) -$240 for selling old phone, for a grand total of $457!

I actually returned my subsidized phone and I'm going to go buy a full price phone. Cannot get rid of the unlimited data. I'll sell my old iPhone 4 to get a somewhat subsidized price. Haha. :)

I don't think they will reverse the change if you already gave up the plan. Will they?

LoL, ATT in DFW is stupid fast. on unlimited.

It's going to level off. People are naturally spending a lot of time on their shiny new toys.

Having said that, I will cling to my unlimited data until they pummel me with sticks.

I had unlimited and never went over 2GB, with the Verizon shared plan I save $40 a month and have 6GB a month to play with

That's not good, that being said I'm unlimited on Sprint but I pay a coverage price when I travel to rural areas with limited coverage but no roaming fees so I guess it's a push.
