Wait a minute i have comcast 105 extreme service which can get speeds up to 105 and i get 50mbps download and 11 upload with this same test!! Your telling me a smartphone can double that? Is comcast this bad, does anyone else have these results i am getting or is it not typical?

Tried this in my office and all I got was a flashing "looking for nearest server" and finally a "Network communications issues." Damn you AT&T. :p

Apparently we got federal funding to put repeaters in our buildings (University) but none of the major carriers will run the last mile to hook it up.

I have the triple play with 250 down. I get around 100 with my N network cards at the far end of the house.

now if only AT&T would not cap those with grandfathered unlimited plans :D and i don't have my hopes up, but I'm sure they're never turn on the switch hotspot too lol..

You should be getting around 100 with comcast on a wired connection. If you're trying wireless, that's a lot of variables you're introducing to the mix.

I check every once in a while, lol.

I can definitely verify this. About two weeks ago I did a speed test on the T-Mobile network using my new iPhone 6 Plus and I achieved this speed test. What amazes me more than the speed is the low latency.

I got this one on a 5s a few months ago, in Everett, WA.

Too bad you can't have the "secret" $30 6GB plan on LTE with Fido.

Also, too bad Fido/Roger's coverage is abysmal.

I would switch to T-Mobile in a heartbeat if they had better coverage at my house. otherwise their service rocks! Way better speeds and latency compared to AT&T. I did a Test Drive last week:

Tap Results, select the specific result you want, tap the share button, then "Copy". You'll end up with a URL to the results image.

Edit: Hmm, but that results in a different format. Nevermind what I said above. I don't know.

With wifi calling and texting why do you still need perfect service at home? I'm never on a cell service at home or work, where I spend the majority of my time.

I don't know whether this would matter for me. My AT&T LTE is always much slower than the maximum theoretical anyway.

try running the test at 4am on a deserted interstate close to a cell tower

completely different tech and you seem to know nothing about the tech

Be careful with testing your speed too much if you have a data cap on your plan as you can easily burn through your cap with these tests.

Do you know how much data these actually account for? I did a bunch since I got my six and already burned through over 5g this month. Gonna have to suffer through the rest of the month throttled on ATT.

I did hit over 70 down in south Fl which his about 3x what I got on my 5.

Got this in Regensburg, Germany with LTE Antenna in sight on Telekom (T-Mobile) network.

141.23 Mbps down
35.43 Mbps up
:D

At 100Mbps, I can use up my 1GB a month data plan in less than 2 minutes! Hooray!

This is just LTE running on a 20MHz bandwidth.

I've managed speeds over 100Mbps since Rogers first launched LTE. The iPhone 6's finally included Band 7 at 2600MHz which allows 20MHz of bandwidth compared to the 10MHz of bandwidth at 2100MHz.

Put your iPhone into Field Test Mode while on LTE and see what it reports for bandwidth.

I manage 8up/ 3down on AT&T LTE and 6up/ 2down on Verizon LTE at home.
