For a moment I was reminded of:

That's not surprising, Apple always beats the competition when a new phone is. The great part is the iPhone absolutely kills everything else in single core... But of course Android phones still chase core counts as if it matters.. lol.

It doesn't just kill everything else is single core, it annihilates them!

I didn't think Apple was close to putting OSX on their lower end laptops... But, now I'm sure they will soon enough (putting windows in a virtual box). They're moving much faster than we ever thought possible.

oh man! Am I going to regret my upgrade due to washed out photos?
What's going on with the camera?

I don't care that the video is 4k. I don't care she shot it in portrait. I don't care that she took photos of her dog.

I DO care that the noise reduction is yet again WAY too aggressive. The ones of the candle and the wood aren't so bad because of the better lighting but the ones of the dog look like watercolours.

you'd think, hey, I just got this phone that millions of people are losing their ****ing minds over a week early and i'm just gonna take the absolute worst video and pictures ever.

that's the biggest problem with open computing platforms - it comes with very unoptimized
Anyone judging the video quality and capabilities of the 6s from this video should stay with whatever phone they have because they clearly have no clue how to shoot or use this camera to its true potential.

What true potential? Shooting in maximum daylight? The camera is what it is - a phone camera and many are expecting some kind of holy grail photographic marvel to appear with the new 12MP sensor. The images are fine when viewed on Facebook and unless you are pixel peeping, it won't make a difference when printed on a 5x7 stock.

You guys must be to young to understand a decade ago you'd be lucky to get 2MP resolution and be able to shoot with auto focus. These phone cameras are just amazing for what it can do on a phone. Enjoy the new phones and it'll only get better with new tech advancing.

2015 iPhone 6s: A9 cpu: 2 GB ram, 2 cores, 1.79GHz = Multi-core score 4293

2011 13-inch MBA: Intel Core i5-2557M: 4 GB ram, 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.70 GHz (Turbo 2.70) = Multi-core score 4293

Just so you know, Yosemite is fully supported on that Mac.

i thought the same exact thing. very aggressive NR indeed. and you're spot on about the watercolors. but then again she has no idea how to shoot and i guarantee in daylight this will kick ass.

Or maybe shot without a flash in insufficient lighting; that's what it looked like to me.

Or people who have very recently joined maybe "encouraged" by some agenda to desperately bash anything they can about the worlds best smartphone?

My G3 that I'm exchanging for the 6S+ has the "painted photo" look probably for noise reduction - one of the main reasons I wanted to get away from that phone. Sad to see this on the iPhone. I hope someone shoots some better images soon before I change my mind.

More pics : )

Okay. That looks not bad at all....I'm starting to like that Rose Gold color....It's not as pink.

Wow, I like it. If I'm reading this right, it's faster than an iPad Air 2 in single core usage by a good margin, and almost as fast in multi-core.

That's some serious speed. And the 6s Plus should be a tiny bit faster. Man, we're in for a treat.

Technically, the 6S Plus should be a tiny bit slower. because it has to push more pixels than the 6s. The same can actually be said about the Ipad A2 vs 6S. A better comparison would be to compare Ipad A2 vs Ipad pro.

Completely agree, the "Shot with an iPhone 6" ad campain is crap can't believe they still think this is a feature... I'll stick for another cycle with my 5S :/

Which means they also beat everything in dual core.

In 2005, Nikon sold a D50, a 6.1 Megapizel DSLR. Nikons have used autofocus since 1983.

Granted, the D50's sensor was a bit larger..

Pictures look fine to me. Am I going to get rid of my DSLR anytime soon? No, of course my 5 year old 12MP Canon takes better pictures. For pretty much everyone who takes photos for Facebook the camera is more then adequate.

It would be cool if Apple allowed you to take take "raw" type photos. If anything I'd like to see the true comparison between the raw photos of a camera phone and DSLR.

We're talking about Apple here - RAW shooting? You wish! You're lucky to even get to select autofocus points. If apple could have it their way they'd remove the option to allow you to change image sizes when shooting..oh wait, there are no image size options!
