iPhone 6s also has a higher CPU clock rate than the iPad Air 2: 6s (dual-core@1.8GHz) vs Air 2 (tri-core@1.5GHz)

I recall their being an app to auto rotate video shooting into landscape mode regardless of which way the phone was held, I'm surprised this was never taken up by the phone manufacturers and at least offered as a settings option.

Not that it bothers me which way people shoot their stuff, (at least until some trendy Hollywood director decides to shoot a feature film in portrait mode, and everyone jumps on the band wagon, like the current fad of shooting everything in darkness.)

So, the camera hasn't really improved. The pictures are looking ugly and grainy.

But even Apple cannot beat physical limits. It's only a smartphone, not a DSLR.

She choose really poor subjects to show of the capabilities of the camera, she's obviously not a good photographer. Two blurry indoor shots of a dog and two indoor closeups? And vertical video on top of that.

but this is on an appthat took advantages of the all cores...in real life there are still 70% apps that uses onlt dual core, i want to see there how is working vs the competition

Still, the images show aggressive noise reduction and watercolors, just as the 6 did. That's disappointing. It's a step backwards compared to the 5/5S camera, both of these cameras produced really clean images.

Wow! The images really suck - big time! Did she use the digital zoom or what? All noisy and grainy! Disappointed!

Oh and yeah... "portrait video"... no comment

I've always wondered this. I'm not very smart, BUT, is there a way that Apple can design an iPhone camera that will orient landscape no matter what? Can this be done with software?

They are not in focus at all. She just didn't know what she was doing whatsoever. It's actually really bad for Apple PR that this chick got a phone early. It would have been better if she at least got it at day time and went outside!

Especially if that camera is in a GS6.

It's not a good thing. I'm getting my wife the pink, ahem, rose gold one and it doesn't look like she's going to be happy with the photo quality. This is what came out of my GS6 from vacation a few weeks back. View attachment 583958 View attachment 583960

That's no joke. I am legitimately concerned that the iPhone 6S will be a downgrade from the Galaxy S6, which has a phenomenal camera.

There are times I scroll back through some pics taken, and the S6 really impresses. And that double tap to launch is incredibly convenient and fast for sudden pics from any app or the lockscreen.

Yeah, those pictures look pretty bad.. but won't really get true image till side by side comparisons in same lighting conditions between generations.

Sorry, but rubbish. The phone is not available to order at this very moment, all pre orders have been made. People genuinely interested in this phone, won't take these photo's as proof of the ability of the camera, and in 3 days time, there will be millions of these phones out there, including those in the hands of 'the embargoed ones' and the net will be flooded with pics, and these forgotten.
