damn jou that sucks. thats why i think they should atleast include 2 skins. one for back-up whenever things like this happen.

how about the side wraps? do those shrink as well? good thing i held off my order for the carbon fiber back.

got my lucky labs white cf teksure skin in recently, but the material has a few dark lines in it (looks like scratches or imperfections in the material) so that's a bummer. Hoping Lucky Labs writes me back today.

update: Lucky Labs contacted me and they're swapping it out, excellent, excellent customer service.

I contacted Lucky Labs about the issue. From what I understand this is not normal and they are sending me a replacement.

The side wraps seems fine!

I've gone through a couple sets of the wraps and they don't shrink. I have a carbon fiber back that I've held off using because I have Phantom Skinz on the back but it'll be interesting to see if this happens when I do use it.

my carbon back from the luckylabs hasn't shrunk...I'm not using it now, its back on the original paper backing now since I have the element real carbon on my phone paired up with the apple bumper

thats good to hear.

i thinking of getting the wooden back. and maybe some side wraps as well.

already picked up an ebay cf, so we'll see how that turns out.:D

so i bought my decal wrap on oct 3rd, verson one at regular price

version 2 came out on the 5th, i emailed and asked for a partial refund for the difference...

was not expecting to get a refund at all since its my fault for not waiting lol but they did give me a partial refund for the difference! :D one day after i sent my email request, awesome!

what a great service,

any comparison between the spectra 2.0 and teksure wraps in solving the antenna issue?
From the pictures on the website it seems the teksure wraps are a bit thicker which might solve the issue as with a case
Thanks

Sticker Glue Removal

..I would like to hear suggestions to remove the glue...
59416573.jpg

1.) The sticky side of Duct Tape - What you do is apply the duct tape and then peel it off over and over, it will take the other glue with it. (Works best if there is no oils or dust on top of the old glue; use some alcohol to clean the surface of the old glue first).

2.) High purity (91+%)Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol) - This is going to take A LOT of rubbing to get the glue off(the only glue I know that this works well on it the glue on the back of electric tape), but its perfectly safe for all the outside materials of the iPhone(just don't soak anything in it) and its great for cleaning off finger prints. Leaves no residues when it drys.

Alcohol scratches and causes clouding on Zagg InvisibleShields.

3.) Naphtha (more commonly known as) Lighter Fluid (I use Ronsonol brand) - Eats through almost (if not) all sticker glues. It also leaves no residues when it drys.

Be careful, Naphtha also melts some rubbers and cheap plastics(I never tried it on a iPhone).

You can find all of these in Drug Stores.

-Cheers, Quad

installed a set of white spectra wraps I had lying around for about 3 months. The corners didn't want to stay down for whatever reason. Contacted Lucky Labs and Steve got back to me right away and sent out a replacement free of charge! Granted, it had the sim hole cut out when my other didn't, but that's top notch service right there. Thanks again Steve!!

my white phone looks so much better now

Ok, I just got my wood decals in the mail today.

They're pretty decent quality. My only gripe is that the Apple logo cutout does not quite line up if you're also trying to line up the camera and flash holes. The good thing is that you can peel it up and stick it back down again with no adhesive residue and no damage to the decal, so you can relocate it if you're not happy with the placement.

I really dig the look of it. Here are some pics:

How are the flash photos?

What side wrap do you have installed? Did that come with the wood back?

The carbon fiber back definitely interferes with the flash. I've tried adjusting it various times and a blue-ish hue still appears in photos.

I found the same. Have the white carbon back and sides, and had to colour in the cutout, or tried to, hoping this would sort the flash, but it didn't.

Still get a washed out blueish hue to my flash photos :(

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I've been using the wooden back for a month now, been perfect.
No shrinking issues, no flash issues.

Just placed an order for a red, olympic blue, and orange wrap and the carbon fiber back! Looked through all the pictures in this thread and thought having the color looks awesome, so I decided to go for it.

How long has shipping normally been?

just got my black carbon back skin and black carbon wrap. they look great all though i must say that i thought it would be a little thicker i still love the fit and look. i also got the white carbon logo and the went together great, pics maybe later

Ordered

I always worry about the metal getting all scratched up and dinged while in a slim case. Like the luxe or feather, this should protect it while looking natural. :)

i was planning on ordering a few white wraps until i read they start to yellow after awhile. did the new versions fix that by any chance? or maybe its specific to either the white matte or white glossy? i have a white glass back and a grey hula so i figured the white side decal would look great. thanks

shaky hand

I never realized how shaky my hands are until I started to apply this stuff. I need two hands to put this on. Now I see why you get a few sets when you order. Shaky hands can screw up the installation process. It still came out great and will protect the metal band from getting screwed up with bumpers and cases. :)
