I'm doing some research for a novel I am writing. Given that some computer games these days give some great insights into real life scenarios and problem solving skills; do you know of any computer games with a lunar-landing component that provide realistic problems to solve in terms of the following:

  • The trajectory required to get into the moon's orbit and stay in it
  • The fuel/power requirements to land safely on the moon,
  • The complications, if any, of being in orbit around the moon,
  • The fuel/power requirements to escape the moon's gravity , if taking off from its surface, in order to return to earth.
I'm not looking for a virtual experience so much as a problem-solving one. I realize that my question is a little bit broad, but any thoughts would be appreciated.
