stock left in Florida Apple stores, saw 12.9's and 11's available for pickup today at numerous stores in Florida according to their website.

Had a change of heart at the buzzer and rational thinking won out. Had originally ordered a 12.9” 256GB + Cellular on preorder day, but ended up cancelling because the SG 1TB/16GB version (wanted silver).

As I pulled up to the store to pick the order up, I started think that I have never come close to using the 128GB on my previous iPad, so why do I really need all of that? Couldn’t justify it. If my needs for the additional storage/performance comes about, I’ll consider upgrading. That has to be proved out first before I shell out more money.

All that back and forth to end up where I started. A Silver 12.9” 256GB + 5G. Got the silhouette I wanted and the onboard storage is enough for me, especially with 2TB cloud via Apple One.

Also picked up the Combo Touch as well! Can’t wait to dive in!

I added a trade in to my in store pick up. Shortly after I received my pick up instruction email, I received a separate email advising that the trade in was set up and they were sending me a box. So looks like if the store is just express pick up, you can still do the trade in; however, they won’t take it at the pick up time. Hope this helps.

I need to figure this out. As long as I can bring in or Apple can redo the transaction as full retail store purchase. No way sending to pho blow.

Thanks for replying! I'm guessing they're probably inundated with pick ups for the initial release, so it makes sense. I hope your trade in goes smoothly.

Interesting— maybe I’ll call my store today. I decided I want to unload my first gen iPads Pro (9.7” & 12.9”) and replace them with a new 11” iPad. Been resisting the urge to order one for in-store pickup today. Maybe for the best if I can’t trade in today and have to be patient 😂

Anyone try to do a trade-in at the store of an old iPad when buying the new iPP? I was going through checkout and it said I would not be able to trade-in at the store, so I didn't end up buying today. Too afraid of dealing with shipping it off. Wouldn't be a big deal but I would be driving 2 hours to the Apple Store, and I don't want to go up there if I can't trade it in there in person. Guess I'll just try to be patient and wait until this initial surge dies down. So jealous of everyone getting their new devices.

I’m trading my old iPad in when I pick up my new one today. I choose that option when I placed my order. When I received my notice it is ready to pick up, it also confirmed my trade in information.

Scored my 512 12.9 cellular at 7:45am for pickup at Reno store. Immediately tried to switch to 1tb five minutes later (which I do not need) then everything was sold out! Good luck hunting today — they are out there!

Just got home a bit ago with my Apple Store pickup - 1 TB 12.9 Wifi model - got a Magic keyboard and Pencil gen 2 also. Excited!

Ordered 12.9 SG 256GB wifi only that is out for delivery and placed a pick up order that is ready for a 12.9 SG 1TB wifi only. Still deciding which one to keep. Is 600 worth double ram?? I really don’t need all that storage. I will be keeping this for 5 years though.

Will you be doing heavy video editing/3D rendering or coding professionally on your iPad within the next few years? If no, then save the 600 for sure.

I’m in Toronto where everything is locked up, so wasn’t surprised they wouldn’t take my older iPad at the pick up. I have already received notification that the box to send the trade in has already been shipped out; so seems like they are on top of it. I have traded in a few times, and I haven’t had any issues with Phob.

Well I didn't end up picking up the iPad I ordered this morning, I decided to cancel it. I'll stick to my 11 inch iPad Pro 2018 for a bit longer.

I picked up my iPad after work today at my local Apple store. Traded in my 10.5 iPad Pro for the 128GB SG 12.9 My MKB is coming tomorrow from Best Buy as I had some reward certificates to put toward the cost.
