Exciting to see all the unboxings. :)

I originally had a June 2 - June 9 delivery estimate and mine changed to preparing for shipment today so I'm hopeful I may have it next week and get it early.

Just checked and sure enough iPads and ATV’s in store ready for pickup at three closest Apple Store locations nearby. Anyone that doesn’t want to wait till June: there ya go.

I know this is being said everywhere, but just can’t justify buying a new iPad until with see some progress on iPad OS, particuarly in the realm of multitasking which is just terrible at the moment. This is really holding back the iPad and its a shame because this new one looks amazing!

East coast US, 12.9 delivered 10:30am. iPadOS update complete, transferring data from 12.9 gen 3 now.
Glad to see i'm not the only one upgrading from a Gen 3. I was so torn but ultimately decided I would pull the trigger after seeing the reviews about speed and screen quality (although not thrilled with the weird shadows on the border).

Sounds like you like over saturated display. Apple display wouldn't be like that.
Yes, I guess I do. I sit there and look at the same picture or video on both devices and the galaxy devices always look so much better to me. It's not just the color though, it's the contrast that catches my eye. Apple devices just look sort of dull and blacks look gray. I am curious if Apple is going to make the iPad 12.9 pop or if they are going to tame it.

It would be great if one of these lucky people could see how it does in direct sunlight with the screen brightness. I'm curious whether it extends beyond the 600 nits, or whether its more legible in that setting.

Jog wheel doesn't work well in any of those apps for me. It goes back and forth just like in my video.
I restarted my Apple TV and it's now working. A little hard to find. From another thread:

"scrub forward/backward with the scroll wheel does work: just press play/pause and keep your finger at the same position on the wheel. It then appears in the UI and you can scroll.

(might only work with a few apps: it definitely works with the apple tv app)"

Upgrading from an iPad Air 2 to a 12.9 inch iPad Pro 1TB and wow. Only thing that was a let down has been my Thunderbolt dock. It turns blues orange and reds blue, plus Ethernet was only getting 200Mbps when my MacBook pulls 1Gbps.

Not sure if I like the Apple Pencil yet.

What do you mean "pop" is an oversaturated and over-contrast screen settings which will be useless for trying to figure out color and detail of photo and video. In other words it's not properly calibrated.
Nothing wrong with your taste though. One will prefer what one thinks is good and pretty.
